Everything was nice until... the checkout. Do not stay here unless you want to be falsely accused, billed for fabricated damages, and subjected to a strange CSI attempt with fake photos as “evidence”. We booked a weekend to relax – but it ended in an absurd thriller. After checking out we get a message that we had a pet with us. We didn’t have any animal. No hair, no poop, no barking – yet they wanted to charge us. As if that wasn’t enough, they also claim that we destroyed a teddy bear that we had never seen before. And the best part? They send photos as “evidence”. Photos that could have just as easily been taken at any time, in any apartment. We’re starting to wonder if they have an archive of broken toys and unknown animals that they use to charge extra fees from guests. Cleaning was supposed to be included – but suddenly it cost extra. For what? Because we didn't clean up after someone else's teddy bear, or didn't buy cleaning products to mop someone else's floor, or the like. If you want to pay for made-up damage, mystery animals, and get an invoice with fabricated pictures – congratulations, you've found the right place. Otherwise: avoid like the plague.
Response to the owner's comment: Thank you for your response.
First of all, I knew all 12 people on this trip – we flew together, stayed together, and I personally visited all three apartments. No one had a pet with them, and I’m quite sure I would have noticed if someone had brought one along.
The idea that a group of 12 guys in their mid-twenties would bring a pet on a weekend trip to Gdańsk is, frankly, extremely unlikely. If your interpretation and what you refer to as “photo evidence” is enough to justify charging extra fees, then our interpretation – that there was no pet involved during our stay – should carry at least equal weight.
We therefore do not accept the additional charge, as it is based on assumptions we simply...
Read moreI highly recommend reading our review and being cautious before choosing this rental provider.
We were searching for an apartment on Booking.com to spend our holiday in Gdańsk. We found one with an 8-star rating and thought – the price and quality seem reasonable, so we booked it. We received a confirmation for a superior-type apartment, and the confirmation details can be seen in the attached pictures.
However, upon arrival and entering the apartment, we immediately realized it was not the one we had booked. We tried to contact the rental provider, but they simply said, Sorry, no other apartments are available – this is what you get.
Upon closer inspection, we noticed multiple issues and documented them with photos, but the host refused to engage in any discussion. The shower sprayed water onto the ceiling, the toilet paper holder was broken, the apartment looked run-down, the walls were dirty, and the kitchen sink faucet was barely holding in place.
We showed these issues to the rental provider, but their response was clear: There will be no solution – take it or leave it. They also did not offer to reduce the rental price.
All the pictures are attached, so judge for yourself – does this look like an 8-star apartment? To us, it certainly didn’t, as there was a significant difference between what we had booked and what we received.
So, what can I say? Be very careful with this company and make sure you know exactly what you are paying for. As for me, I will never recommend or use this rental...
Read moreThis company let us down badly with really poor communication. On the day we were due to travel they texted to let us know that our apartment had an issue with the balcony - I replied to request they (a company with numerous apartments) either give us a different apartment or give us a small refund of our payment. This was around 11am and by 430pm I had heard nothing so I phoned them. At this point they told me that they had asked booking.com to find us a new apartment (not what I'd agreed to). I asked them to cancel that request and give us the room we booked, bearing in mind we were about to fly, and they agreed to give me a small discount. Next thing I have a call from Booking.com to say that BM have cancelled my apartment, which left us without anywhere to stay, hours before we were due to fly. Despite numerous calls to BM I kept getting excuses and they didn't phone or text back despite numerous promises. They also accused me of causing the cancellation, which I never did. You almost ruined our holiday. At best, this was really poor communication but at worst it was deliberately ignoring and canceling on a customer (I can't prove the latter). If you try to claim that I caused this again I will be taking...
