Calma Pasta Fresca — Restaurant in Gdansk

First and foremost, the food was delicious, Pizza is really nice with great choice of toppings and a very tasty, crispy and thin dough.

What bothered us, however, is the quality of service. Since the place is extremely tiny in size we had to sit outside, which is fine in of itself, if only waiters hadn't forgotten us. This was quite frustrating since it was cold outside and we had to wait around 20 minutes to submit our order 😒. The excuse that it's dark outside seemed a bit weird since we indicated our arrival and wish to sit outside. The same concerned the payment, we had to make ourselves "visible" to simply be able to pay.

Also, keep in mind that if you wish to make a reservation, you have to pay 25 PLN per person, which we found a bit extreme, also not clear in the description whether this sum will be deducted from an order or paid once...

We visited Calma Pasta (connected with Ostro Pizza) and ordered two Pizza Bianca – Four Cheese and a bottle of wine. To our surprise, both pizzas tasted overwhelmingly sweet — like they’d been drizzled with burnt sugar.

When we asked the waitress, she explained the taste came from a chili jam on top, which had melted across the entire pizza. Unfortunately, this wasn’t mentioned on the menu, and the sweetness completely overpowered the cheese flavors.

We expected a savory dish, not dessert. While some may enjoy sweet pizza, customers should be clearly informed — especially when the flavor profile is so unexpected.

The setting and service were nice, but the meal itself...

Well I was just passing by and stop by an aperol. And did order a starter. Cozze. First of all then are defrost !!! And it’s season now so other restaurants serve fresh ones. Souse is great. Place is cheap and they show it in their fullest. Clams were something like 30 pln and bread to then was 20 extra. And service on top of the bill is there so no reasons to leave tips. In general. If you invest in making this amazing sauce why not to put prise of clams 45-50 and give couple of slices of bread ? And buy fresh not defrost items ? And if you play Italians which you not just add it on price and serve some limoncello with a bill. Despises all good reviews I...
