We visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from friends, and it was a pleasant experience from the start. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. We placed our full order at once, and our drinks arrived promptly.

The food took a little longer than expected due to a large group (around 25–30 people) dining at the same time. However, we were informed about the delay in advance, which we appreciated — good communication makes a big difference.

Presentation was solid overall. Personally, I think the fish soup would have been even better if served with flatbread or some kind of side bread. The pork knuckle was well-prepared, accompanied by warm cabbage and potatoes — flavorful and satisfying. The raspberry lemonade was a standout: refreshing and delicious.

All in all, a great place to dine with good food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. I’d definitely...

Maybe the best restaurant we tried in Gdańsk?

Came here twice during our stay in Gdańsk. Once for brunch, once for dinner.

I was very impressed by the food scene in Gdańsk and this may just be the pick of the bunch.

Brunch was exactly what you want from a brunch menu. A combination of breakfast/lunch options, large portions, and incredibly tasty food.

Dinner a few days later didn't disappoint either. Both the starters and mains were both top class and full of flavour. Solid wine offerings also. Accommodations were also made for my vegetarian girlfriend so that we could share starters.

On both occasions the staff were also very good and the atmosphere was nice. Interior of the restaurant is lovely too. Best part is, the prices are extremely affordable.

Everything you expect from a high end restaurant (minus the pretentiousness), just without the...

Motlava is a tiny restaurant in gdansk which from the outside looks like casual restaurant, but as soon as you go in it is filled with beautiful details and wonderful furniture. Equipped with a great Bar and a wine fridge with all kinds of wine from all over the world. The restaurant proofed its five stars with their menu and service. We had a thee course menu with good italian wine. The zurek here is incredible followed with ribs in a honey glaze, which was just perfectly made. The meat was of good quality and as tender as butter. Phenomenal mouth sensation. Finally the desert. A kogel mogel that rounded up this fantastic lunch. This restaurant is very recommendable and urge everybody to try. I rarely am in restaurant where every course...

On a quiet Monday we had a relaxed dinner with some excellent starters ( the duck stuffed pyzy dumplings with crispy bacon and spicy beetroot salad) The mains were pretty indeed but somewhat disappointing as the both the duck and fish had suffered from sous vide overkill without the forgiving kiss of a hot pan to bring them back to crispy life....The same could be said for the spinach gnocci which would have been 10 times better pan finished in hot butter with some fresh sage... Nice wines by the glass and efficient if somewhat formal service.. maybe it was just an off Monday ...I'll give them a 4 for fresh ingredients , good service and generous portions...

We wanted to try a special restaurant, and we ended up at Motlava. Best choice! However, try to book it in advance (they speak English). The food was just amazing and very fresh.. all for wow prices (around 12-13€/main dishes). We went for their special signature dish and the pork schnitzel. For drinks we just had lemonade and water. The interior design is very clean, minimalistic and with high quality materials. The hosts speak English and menus are bilingual, so it’s easy to order and get around. Photos with the menu from today (23rd June 2022) attached. If you are in the area and you want to try a nice restaurant, this is one of your options. A+
