We had read all references before going there. It was not possible to find a contact online, so we just went there by car at the end of September and had plenty of space on the tent space of the Camping. We paid 20EUR per night (2 adults, 1 small tent, 1 car). Yes, the bathrooms only have the basics. You need to bring your own toilet paper and soap, as in several places in Portugal and Spain, it's not allowed to flush the used toilet paper in the toilet because it blocks the tubes but you have to leave it in a bucket with a plastic bag which is cleaned and renewed, as well as the entire bathroom, twice a day. The Camping site is very central; the town centre is only 5-10min walking distance ♥️ It has a washing machine, spots where to wash by hand, running water, the showers work well, the buildings got a new paint during the pandemic, as we were told by long-term campers. There were only 3 or 4 tents with Hippies/Punks and 1 freely running dog. We were told by the long-term campers that this was indeed much worse before but it is not anymore. We liked the Camping site a lot and would always come back.

Loved it here !!! Previous reviews we're awful but we read between the lines... 16.50 euro for motorhome, 2 people, 1 dog and electric hook up. We planned to stay 2 nights but stayed 7 nights. 15 minute walk to town, great close cliff walks for our dog (we went along too, lol).Choose your own pitch. Clean toilet/shower block with really big shower cubical. Yes its dusty, but its Portugal. Friendly staff who spoke English. Restaurant by the entrance. The only thing I didn't like was that the hose for filling up your water tank, was the same as for chemical toilet emptying. ..so use your own. We'll return to Lagos and we'll be back at this site.

This location is pretty run down….BUT!! It’s safe and outside the gate less than 2 min walk it’s STUNNING.. for €11 Euros a night for a camper it’s a good deal as there is no other sites locally.. there is 150k motor homes so that that’s good enough for me, staff are ok and friendly enough.. there seems to be a few English buskers living here so there always a tune being played.. don’t expect much you will not be disappointed.. if you have a loo on board use it and empty at the site would be my advise.. showers not great but hot :)

Never seen a camping this bad. We paid went in and were shocked. This place looks like a refugee camp. With queues for the bathrooms and dust clouds everywhere. We tried to find a place to park an set up our tent. But after witnessing this horrendous scene. We decided to leave. We ised the bathroom real quick and headed back to rhe reception to claim a refund. The guy at the reception was very rude and didn't want to refund the money paid. We paid 20 euros total and he only returned 14 euros. He said he charged us 6 euros because we used the bathroom. The nerve of these people 🙄. When I asked to file a complaint there was no room left in the complaint book. I was told I should come back tomorrow to talk to the owner if I wanted to make a complaint. Can you believe that? 1 place having so many complaint that there is no room left in the complaint book🤦🏿‍♂️. In the end the guy at the reception managed to find a reasonably new book where I was able to write my complaint. I am could tell so much more about this ratchet place. But alas I want to enjoy the rest of my holidays. FINAL WARNING ⚠️ AVOUD THIS PLACE. YOU...

The location is excellent being within walking distance of the town center as well as the beaches and harbour.||The site belongs to the local football club who use the revenues for football not camping! There is some talk about refurbishment for the Summer...||Although it is in a poor state of repair it is useable and the cleaning staff do a valiant job of keeping it clean. We stayed for over a week at the beginning of March during very rough weather and it didn't completely flood, there was always hot water in the showers and the electrics held up!Many visitors came to do repairs to their vehicles - there being plenty of space with quite large pitches.||There are a number of long term campers who don't do the appearance of the place any favours but if you can overlook such blemishes the place has some definite plus points.||6a electric is €2.50 and two people with large van and a car on a trailer was €15 - which is in line with the ACSI price for off season. Suggest owners of tents or vans smaller than 6m would be better off not using...
