I booked this hotel for a last minute visit for 2 nights in Lisbon. I was happy with the price but did not realise the breakfast was not included as this was hidden in “ Sundries”breakfast is NOT a sundry and should be in plain sight of booking, so an extra 10€ each. I would have rathered gone out for breakfast for this price. The breakfast room is tiny with only 1 entrance in and out to the food area so people are waiting then bustling past each other with plates and hot beverages. Breakfast was ok.||Our room was a nice size and clean, what let it down was attention to detail, no lamp shade on one bed lamp and both fittings were loose, they have been wired up wrong as you cannot turn the bed lamps on on their own only with the main lights! ||The wall paper is worn in places and could do with a refresh. The tv is a good size and works, a nice, full size mirror, desk, chair and wardrobe. ||The bathroom is tiny but clean and you have to squeeze past the door to get to the toilet, the bath is a half size bath which is handy if you have kids but is filled via a shower head, no plug but I bought one. ||The back bottom side of the bathroom door is falling off, looks like it has been damaged. ||The air conditioning works perfectly and was welcomed. Wall plugs were hidden behind side tables ( needed it for medical equipment). ||The view of the park was nice.||In reception you have an electric ice bucket, microwave and kettle to use, plus a nice area to wait or watch TV.||Parking a car on hotel side only ( a few spaces) don’t park on opposite side or your car will get towed as it’s resident permit parking only.||Overview|Despite putting us in a room that aesthetically could have been better, the room was clean, the location of the the hotel was excellent, staff helpful for the price good value ( just state breakfast or no breakfast in your booking, don’t hide it)…..and fix the bits in the room before putting...
Read moreIf you are ever in the area, stay away! There was no one at the reception when we arrived and after 5 minutes she told us she was in the bathroom… thanks for sharing. Only after checking in, were we told that we were on the 6th floor and that the elevator was being fixed (it has apparently been going on for 6 weeks). We had a 23kg bag and asked how we could take it upstairs. She told us she had a problem with her wrist but that she could help us put the bag in a cargo elevator. We said we would go have dinner and take care of that later. When we arrived back to the hotel, there was a different person at the reception who didn’t know how the cargo lift worked and how it could be accessed. We gave up and told him figure it out. After some time, our bag was brought to the room. The room itself had no sockets, we had to unplug the TV to charge our phone. Our balcony was the only one without a chair, and the air conditioning remote was nowhere to be found. We turned it in manually but as soon as it went on, my girlfriend started coughing like crazy so we turned it off. Next morning we called the reception for 10 minutes without any luck. Once they picked up we asked for someone to get our bag downstairs. The luggage person was only going to arrive at 9:00 am so we decided to go for breakfast while we waited (that was 40 minutes). Breakfast was terrible with no choice, bad scrambled eggs, a toaster that didn’t toast, no fruit choices, no nothing. Once we finished we asked for our bags (it was 9:05) but the person had not yet arrived. Only at 9:30 did we finally got our bags. The certificate sign outside stating it is a 3 star hotel, expired on November 2020, and clearly if it was ever one, it no longer is. Worst experience...
Read moreTLDR: Close to metro; VERY poor facilities and customer service
I stayed at Hotel Park Avenida in Lisbon for 3 nights. The hotel's primary advantage is its proximity to the metro station, making travel convenient.
However, the facilities were disappointing for a 3-star hotel. I couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi despite multiple attempts with different devices. The TV stopped working on the second day, and the air conditioning was non-functional throughout my stay. On two occasions, I called for assistance; once, a staff member arrived but admitted she was only pressing random buttons and was also unsure.
Another morning, the only elevator was out of service, requiring me to use the stairs to and from the fifth floor. No apologies or alternative solutions were offered. Additionally, bottled water and kettle were not provided in the rooms but were only available in a shared area on the ground floor.
Customer service was subpar. My calls for assistance were frequently unanswered or abruptly ended mid-conversation. On two occasions, the staff even hung up while I was still speaking. When I sought help at the lobby, the staff member was initially hesitant to investigate the issues promptly and appeared doubtful when I reported the Wi-Fi problems.
The breakfast buffet was also below average, offering the same options daily, including rubbery scrambled eggs and bacon of questionable quality (see photo).
One positive interaction worth mentioning was with the cleaning staff on my floor, who was pleasant and courteous.
Overall, I didn't feel that the hotel is concerned with guest satisfaction, evident by their lack of response to...
