Sapore — Restaurant in Lisbon

Really good food, always busy, large portions, have eaten here a few times

Back in Sapore this evening 4th visit 19.24 ordered steak with salad & fries, 1x sea bass. At 21.10 boss said they forgot your order, will order now 1st in queue, would you like a drink. Sangria and pint please with our dinner. Dinner arrives 21.40 . Steak comes with veg and not salad. Drink didn’t come with our meal had order again. Totally unacceptable We’re told we forgot your order you are now first in the queue. Sorry first order was steak with salad 2nd order we forgot the salad and gave us veg ( cabbage & carrots). After an extra pint and 1 ltr Sangria which we wouldn’t have had normally we got our bill. After some discussion with management they removed the sangria €7 from the bill now 22.17

This restaurant was just a few doors away from our lovely hotel the Miraparque. It was a wonderful find. We went there 3 nights running because it was so good. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. My friends had fish and I spaghetti bolognese one night, the second we had pasta or veal, the third night we had pizza and salad. We enjoyed all of it and the wine was really good too. The service was excellent. We were greeted by Augusto and a lovely waitress each time we went and it was a place popular with locals and tourists. Prices were excellent value and we would definitely recommend this restaurant and will go back there if we go back to Lisbon in future. There was a good choice of food and wine on the menu. Pizza was about 10 - 12 Euros and Spaghetti Bolognese about 6.50 I think - to give you an idea. Our wine was 9 Euros...
