Tucked away near Marquês de Pombal, this pastelaria is a true neighborhood classic. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the aroma of fresh pastries and the buzz of locals grabbing their morning coffee.

The pastéis de nata are the star here—crispy, flaky, and creamy in just the right way. Easily some of the best I tried in Lisbon. Beyond that, there’s a wide variety of homemade cakes, broas, and savory snacks, plus soups and sandwiches if you’re looking for something more substantial.

Service is generally quick and friendly, with a warm, family-run feel. Prices are fair, making it a great value for such a central location.

That said, consistency can vary. On busy days, service may feel rushed, yet this is also because people use this place as their second kitchen. It’s busy because its good local homecooked fare.

Discovered this gem of a place on our first day in Lisbon! We were staying at a nearby hotel and this place became a must for breakfast every day. The ham and cheese toastie and ham omelette (served with fries) was delicious! You could basically have whatever combination you wanted in a toasted sandwich. Orange juice was freshly squeezed. I went in early for directions to my morning's destination and asked for their business card, to make it easy to find them again later in the day. Their Service was kind and helpful, and I made my way back later as intended. I had an apple pastry in a type of phyllo, but it lacked the richness usually found everywhere in France. Their espresso was dark and acidic but brought back memories of the very first serving I'd had in Spain in 1991.
