GoodTime Marquês Suites — Hotel in Lisbon

Unfortunately it was a very bad experience.

We booked a double bedroom for 2 nights.

First, the bathroom has a glass door and its surrounded by glass walls (which at least have curtains) with a mirror reflecting its inside from the bedroom so there is literally not even privacy in the bathroom.

There is no one at the front desk, ever, so if you need any assistance you have to dial a phone number and call.

We left the "Please make room" sign on the door knob after leaving to see the city in the morning just to come back late at night and finding that the room was not made....

On the second night, there was a very annoying sound coming from the bathroom, i think it was related to some water pipes, this woke us up at least 3 times during the night, the sound persisted for around 3-5 min untill it stopped.

On top of everything, when we tried to shower on the last morning, there was no hot water coming out, it wasnt cold but lukewarm at the best.😓

The door key lock system is very old, since the hotel is on the first floor of an apartment building you need to carry 3 keys with you all day. The one for the door on the street, the hallway door and the bedroom one....

Excellent location for a fair price. The metro station is a 7 minute walk, and you can get anywhere from there. There also plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. Clean room. We had the room on the corner, so we only had one neighboring room which was empty. It was super quiet at night. There was a construction next door in the morning, but that wasn't that loud either and it's probably not permanent. The glass wall on the bathroom is a bit weird, but it's perfectly usable with the curtain. Airconditioning is available. It gets damp inside because there's only one window, but you can ventilate the room by opening the door and a window in the common area. The common area was pretty cool, both the kitchen...

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The room had a window, which was nice for natural light, but unfortunately, it didn’t have any closing system. This made the road noise very noticeable, especially at night, which affected our sleep quality.

The bed was comfortable and clean – no complaints there. The toilet was decent, though it lacked privacy, as it only had a glass door without any non-transparent covering. While this might be acceptable for couples, it could be awkward for others.
