The hotel is overall nice, well located. We spend 5nights there. The room was spacious, the staff was friendly. Everything positive ends here. We were very disappointed about the fact that the baby crib (we were there with a 9month old baby) didn’t have a mattress. For my opinion this was unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. For a mattress they had put a duvet as you can see in the picture, which it is not only unacceptable for a hotel of that range but its also and more important not safe for the child, not to mention the risk of suffocation in his sleep with this kind of “mattress”. Of course we did speak to the receptionist and they said that they don't have the mattress for this crib, after that they asked me “oh, how many nights are you gonna spend at the hotel?” And when i answered 5 tha lady was like “well, we will try to find a solution”. She said that they will try to find something harder to put on the bottom of the crib. After this conversation we were out the whole day and when we got back to the hotel nothing in the crib was changed, i asked them again and they said that they changed the duvet with something that is harder.. well they didn't. Spoke with them again and again they said that they will try to find another solution, i asked them what will happen if it doesn’t work and their answer was that they will think of something else again. Well speaking everyday about the “mattress” and trying to find solution didnt bring actually a solution. Very disappointed, wouldn’t recommend the hotel if you're gonna travel with a baby and need a baby crib. And the most disappointing thing for me was that i started to search reviews again in google and i found that somebody already complained about this problem and they answered that they are sorry and that they will change it. Well again...
Read moreMy rating for the Pestana Vintage Hotel in Lisbon is 6 out of 10. This hotel offers quite attractive accommodation conditions, including well-equipped apartments with kitchenettes. A comfortable bed, flat-screen TV, and a sofa certainly provide comfort for rest, while the additional kitchenette is a significant convenience.
Despite the apartment being on a high, 8th floor, the view of the internal courtyard may not meet the expectations of those counting on picturesque panoramas of Lisbon. Regarding the breakfast offer, although the choice may seem limited, the possibility of ordering dishes prepared live (life cooking) is a definite asset that somewhat compensates for the shortcomings in the menu.
However, the experience at the Pestana Vintage Hotel is not without certain inconveniences. Poor cleaning service, including the lack of regular replenishment of coffee and tea, can be a source of frustration for guests. Moreover, the problem with slow elevators, which require a long wait, significantly lowers the comfort of the stay, especially for those accommodated on higher floors.
It is worth noting, however, that the hotel also provides an additional amenity in the form of an attractive Lounge on the top floor, accessible to guests. This is an elegant space that can serve as a pleasant place for relaxation or work, offering at the same time the opportunity to enjoy views of the city from a unique perspective.
In summary, the Pestana Vintage Hotel in Lisbon has its strengths and weaknesses. High-quality apartments and special amenities such as the rooftop Lounge largely make up for some of the service shortcomings. However, to achieve a higher rating, the hotel would need to improve the quality of cleaning services and find a solution to the problem with...
Read moreThis hotel was fine for what we needed during our trip in Lisbon. |Quite well located although be prepared for surrounding streets with varying degrees of incline! |Reception staff are efficient, not overly attentive but friendly. Reception area is tiny, at first I thought we had walked through a side entrance but no. |There is Wi-Fi but it’s not great!|Room was clean, basic and compact (We were on the second floor) but there is definite room for improvement. The room is dim, lighting not great and the small window doesn’t help. There minimal hanging space and no sign of iron or board. Maybe we could have asked for on but luckily we made do. |Bed was pretty comfy - ours were 2 single beds which were pushed together. The room is pretty cosy so make sure you like the person you travel with! |The shower was an issue for us - the main “rain shower” didn’t work however the handheld shower did - but intermittently ran hot and cold. |The sink didn’t drain very well and when we used it, water just kind of hung around until it drained - not great. ||They do provide a water bottle in the room which you can refill on the top floor lounge which was handy. That room is actually quite cute with views over the top of Lisbon. |Basic tea and instant coffee available in the room with a kettle. A Nespresso machine in the lobby for communal use. ||There was one day when we came back from our day where no one had been to make the beds or change the towels. ||Overall a good hotel that I feel needs to refresh some of their tired areas. They could do with paying a little more attention to the...
