Hotel Inn Rossio — Hotel in Lisbon

We stayed here in January 2023. Worst experience ever. I will never stay here again! There are many choices of hotels with the same rate in this area. So, better opt for other. Room don't look like picture, broken window, broken cabinet, tiny bathroom, also, beware of bed bugs! The distance of the toilet bowl is too near to the basin, I have to squeeze my knee and slant my body when sitting on the toilet bowl in order not hitting it. I'm not tall, only 156cm. We requested for changing a room with better condition and don't mind paying the additional money on top of the room charges that we've paid, but the hotel manager rejected our request by giving reason that we booked a "CHEAP" room, so that's it. We were asked to pay at a full rate even the room offered was exactly the same room type that we were staying. This is ridiculous. Really dissatisfied with his behavior, it was like look down at Asian. Nightmare! We booked our room at a special promotion rate via hotel agent and didn't expect to get such a torn room due to the promotion price we purchased. I understand "You get what you paid" but shouldn't to this extent. I felt sad during my 6D5N here. All guests deserve a good stay at the hotel no matter how CHEAP the price was. I'm wondering how this hotel earned their good reviews on Google. Are they all real? The only high side is location, other than that nothing I can praise of. If I can rate -0, I will. Will never...

My experience in this hotel was AWFUL.

I booked through Booking.com, good location, etc. Not particularly cheap. This happened on Easter 2023

1- There were BEDBUGS in the room. I asked for a room change. They gave me another room but in the same floor. This means, bedbugs still there, probably. But what could I do?

2- The second night - a man entered at 11pm our room. We were in bed, so we shout back. I went downstairs to reception. It seem it was some man of the stuff who didn't know the room was in used.

3- The storage room is not safe at all. Anyone with random cards can enter. Cards barely work for the room, I had to go up and down to reception multiple times during 3-4 nights stay.

4- When I complained the reception old man was really rude, saying they had no complains books, etc, a lie. He said we wouldnt get any refund, we had to do through booking - booking said the opposite. So this man just tricked us.

5- I NEVER saw a refund of the first night they offered to me. As they said they sent it to a partner, I had to deal with that other partner and the partner is in Dubai ??? (not in Portugal). And Booking didnt step in, because is a "external partner".

Basically, this is all a SCAM. There are bedbugs and staff is trying to trick you as you see. Therefore, DO NOT STAY here.

All the places I stayed while traveled, this by the worse worse worse of them all. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!!! I couldn't believe the room they gave me. Whoever the floor designer for this hotel, need to get fire or need to lose thier license. You should see the bathroom!!! Holysomke, there was no leg room for sitting on the toilet. The shower place was a joke. I kept hitting my elbows while showering. Im 5 9. If youre taller then me then you put fit. The bathroom smell very bad mold. Bed hard as a rock. Cpuslnt sleep well at all for the 3 nights stayed. The wall bruises with marks and scuff. Curtains snatched ripped. Barely kept the sun light out. The TV was a joke. Who put TV in a case? Can't barely see the screen because the case is tinted. The only good thing about this place is location and the shower temperature hot consistently. And the wifi don't ever bother using. It was so bad. Kept dropping every few minute. And no early check in. 2pm is thier check time no exception. You put your luggage in this tiny room which I hit my head on the front entrance because it's so tiny. I'll be scare someone else steal my stuff cuz anyone can just go in there no staffs control.
