Fiorella - Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Lisbon

We visited with a large group in the evening on a Monday. From the outside the place looks superb, we were told they don’t do reservations so we just chanced it by having an early evening meal. Service was pretty quick but not friendly. We chose to sit outside amongst the hustle and bustle which was nice, but this left any sort of atmosphere from the restaurant lacking - just lots of staff looking stressed, rushing around trying to fill the restaurant up. Drinks were served pretty quickly - no complaints there, only one of the few places to serve beers in 1L steins which was nice. When the food arrived it all looked good, everyone enjoyed what they were given except me. The burger was undercooked and pink in the middle (which is usually fine for me) but it also had quite a bit of hard gristle inside, so much so that I couldn’t eat it all. Could just be a one off but worth noting. Price wise it’s nothing special, the same or slightly more than everywhere else. Overall - most seemed to enjoy it, would we come back - No, but that’s not because they did much wrong, there is just no reason to when the service was unfriendly and the food was just ok, so many more places provide the same sort of thing at a better price and friendly service - a smile is not...

Terrible service. The door sign says it’s open until midnight. Got there before 10.30pm and asked if the kitchen was open and was told it was. They asked me to wait to get my table cleaned. I sat down but nobody came to see if I needed anything nor cleaned the table. After 20 minutes I stand up and ask for a menu and the rudest waiter yells at me saying the kitchen is closed. I look for the waitress that let me sit down initially and she doesn’t even know nobody went to see if I needed anything. The rude waiter comes to where we were and keeps yelling at me. Terrible service in a very touristic area. As a solo traveler, this was a horrible experience. Being yelled at for no reason when I was specifically told I could have dinner and I only asked for a menu is crazy. The waiter’s reaction was, in my opinion, way out of proportion. I had a wonderful dining experience at Florella in Lisbon. The ambiance was charming and cozy, and the service was absolutely exceptional. I was attended by Ana, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. She helped me navigate the menu with such sweetness and patience, making me feel right at home.

I ordered the oven-baked codfish with steamed potatoes, seasoned with garlic and pepper — and it was delicious! The flavors were simple yet rich, and everything tasted fresh and comforting. I truly appreciated the balance between the quality of the food and the warmth of the service.
