Sushi Kiyomi - Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Lisbon

I used to like this place and I was a regular costumer, but NOT ANYMORE. The food is meh - what you would get for a 13€ buffet. But the issue lies in the terrible staff that works there. The little waitress with dark hair that is NOT chinese has a completely uncivilized and inadequate behaviour. She is the kind of person who should never work with costumers. At some point I thought there were no chopsticks on my table and I picked up a pair of new ones and she reacted as if I stole something from her personal bag and took the new chopsticks AWAY FROM ME. Additionally she does this terrible thing were she stands in the middle of the room and stares at the table, stares at the people, stares at you putting the food in your mouth. I felt like I was in kindergarten and I she was the educator supervising the room. I don’t know who told her this is appropiate behaviour as a waitress but I do not agree with it. And the cherry in top is I could hear her gossip to the rest of the staff whenever she took away my plate and brought it behind the counter commenting on me an the food I had. I sadly never coming back here and I regret recommending this place to many friends. The waitress might have saved a pair of chopsticks but lost a regular costumer. That’s exactly the opposite of what a successful business would do. I hope that girl has the opportunity to grow intellectually and emotionally. One star.

At first really nice, in general nice and clean. Sushi and warm meals all for 10 euros. Unfortunately the sushi was displayed not chilled. Eventho the aircon was turned on but it's still raw fish... It smelled a bit funny and we left 3 pieces on our plate since we were not keen on taking any risks... The waitress somehow just had it with us.. Actually from the beginning. She was rude and loud, eventho she is a very tiny person tho.

She couldn't understand a word English and our portuguese is not that good yet. When she picked up the sushi we tried to explain why we couldn't eat the sushi. She was really mad at us and yelled at us.. We felt very uncomfortable. She even called us names and cursed at as and thought we will not understand... Well somehow rude stuff is the first thing you learn in another language right? Now...

I wanted to eat sushi and we didn’t know this was a buffet. We were hungry so we stayed. My boyfriend can’t eat rice - he gets joint pain, arthritis in his fingers. He usually orders sashimi (just fish no rice). They didn’t have it, so he just ate fish off the top. The lady that works there yelled at us for “wasting food” and not eating the rice!! And we are not big people, we didn’t even eat all that much! And besides We Are PAYING customers! You have no right to tell us what and how to eat! You don’t know what dietary restrictions we might have! Do not have a buffet if you have issues with it. We PAY you! It should be not your business what and how much we eat! It’s called Buffet for a reason! We came to eat, not to get scolded by some crazy lady in front of the whole restaurant!! Bad experience will...
