Amazing location, next door to Sé Cathedral and Rossio Square and Parça do Comércio. We loved the location because you’re close to everything without being in the loud resto/bar district of Barro Alto.

Rooms are small yet cozy and is perfect for travelers. Floor is cement which is clean and the room is minimalist which is nice when you have luggage etc. Rooms are cleaned daily and the staff and service are amazing.

Breakfast is from 8-10am and has a lot of options. WiFi works well along with great AC (very necessary when spending your day in the sun walking everywhere).

Located next to a Fado restaurant so if you have a suite (with private bathroom) it might get louder but was never a problem for us.

In the main lobby area there are about 4-5 bedrooms that share the bathrooms/showers. We stayed in a suite with private bathroom and kitchenette which was situated next door and there’s about 4-5 rooms like that.

For someone who’s never stayed in a place other than a hotel we loved this and actually preferred it to staying in a generic hotel.

As I said, staff was amazing and was super helpful with recommendations of what to see and where to eat. They even brought us breakfast to our room for our last morning we were there because left early to catch our train.

We’d definitely stay here again if we come back and will be recommending it to all of our...

Absolutely horrendous I dont know why people have written good reviews and are satisfied when in reality this place blows. If you plan on having a good time in Lisbon do not stay here. The rooms are beyond basic with no charging adapters. To charge my phone I had to dig underneath the bed and unplug the lamp. Forget charging two devices at the same time. The walls and doors are so thin and close to each other, you can hear the other person talking and walking in the corridor or next room with a screeching sound. Moreover, you can also constantly hear the people upstairs walking. So you wont get any sleep. The place is located next to the tram rail and the entire day you can hear the tram zip by. The shared bathrooms are filthy and are not replenished with toilet paper. They are also very small with no wall hooks so you cant even hang clothes whilst you bathe. Furthermore, in the shower there is no hot water only warm water. There is no heating or cooling system so if its cold outside you'll freeze in the room and vice versa. Breakfast was also very sub par. I was so upset, i booked a room in a much better hotel the next day and left. They refused to refund my reservation for 2 nights but i still left so you can imagine how bad it was. A youth hostel would be much better than this for a cheaper price. I myself moved to the figueira boutique hotel which...

Start with the check-in: they only have one receptionist on duty, they often are doing other things too, too much multitasking. You can't just walk into the lobby either, you have to ring from outside. And wait. In the blasting sun, if you're after 11am.

Our room wasn't ready until after 45 minutes after the check-in hour. That might also be due to staffing issues. The receptionist had to go help the housekeeper and couldn't let in any more guests. Interesting to see it happen from inside. They might have also been running around due to some fresh water damage that day.

Now the room was alright. Odd layout, it no stars lost there. BUT. We settled, we were just chilling on the bed, not quite dressed, and the room door opens. They didn't go all the way in there, I quickly get dressed, run out to check what THE HELL could be so urgent. Turns out the previous guest forgot something and the receptionist just let him in and even let him open our door without knocking!!! Unbelievable.

I was gonna leave 2* for the staff politeness, but we couldn't return the key on check-out and no one was answering the door again. We couldn't miss our flight and ended up just leaving the key on the bed. That took off the final star. Never coming back, even...

if you are a fan of unsanitary conditions, stench and mold, then you simply must visit this hotel. the staff who do not really understand English well are very friendly, they will be happy to show you a room completely ready for guests to move in with a bunch of black hair on the floor and dirty bed sheets. Shabby furniture and dirty stains on the walls give the rooms a special charm. But the most luxurious place of this hotel is, of course, the shared bathroom. The staff will assure you that the guests staying here are exceptionally clean (after all, this is probably personally verified). The toilet greets you with an incredibly persistent smell of mold and moisture. the lack of soap or paper towels should not bother you in any way because this is part of the interior. the showers are so dirty that you, like me, may have to look for plastic flip flops all over Lisbon to shower. and if you still decide to stay in this wonderful place, I can give you the address where to buy flip flops. It is a perfect place to stay if you dont like to sleep in a quiet place because you will even listen to the snoring man in the neighbor room.

The location of this Guesthouse is very good. Tram stop is just outside the Guesthouse and most of the famous landmarks and viewpoints within walking distance (it very challenging though walking up steep streets 😅) and because of the very central location it is quite noisy. The first night I didn’t sleep very well as the tram and traffic is passing just by our window. If you’re a light sleeper maybe this place is not for you. The room we had was quite spacious and clean when we arrived, the bathroom is small and could do with freshening up to get rid of the mould around the shower area (I booked a room with a private bathroom) Next door to the Guesthouse is a Fado restaurant, amazing food and good singers. Across the road is a bakery and other restaurants. I don’t like to leave any negative reviews… I informed the reception staff that I had lots of bites (I suspect bedbugs) on my body and arms. So I hope they will do something about it. I can overlook the other things I didn’t like about the Guesthouse but not the bites. One thing you don’t want to bring home as souvenirs are bugs!
