Lisbon Serviced Apartments - Madalena — Hotel in Lisbon

HORRIBLE horrible check in experience and hidden charge (24 euro) for nothing when you checked in thr machine( you can only check in in machine). By 2:00 checked in time, we did not received our code or any email. Called the number twice, once when we arrived hours before 2pm, once right after 2pm. the lady picked up the phone was useless, unprofessional and not helpful at all. She kept pushing telling up just go inside, open the door there is a machine for checked in. The problem is we don't have access to the door...called again, same answer didn't even bother ask any information. Luckyly, we have to sneaked into the building by follow others then using the phone attached to the machine to ask for check in, a guy picked up the phone quicky and thanksfully he was nice and helpful. To be fair, room is very clean n decent. However, shower run out of hot water quick, and elevator is still broken. One thing I would like to thank is the cleaning crews. You can tell and see there are working hard and did a really good job of keeping the rooms clean. If you have legs problems, don't bother, the elevator is still broken like other comments mentions months ago. If you don't like the ideal of sneaking into building by awkwardly following other when you don't recived the codes or email on time,...

STAY AWAY! Yes, it is very close to the centre, but as there is no responsible staff, only rude cleaners, it is impossible to get help, since everything has to be done by mail. 1. the elevator was out of order the entire week, and we (ladies in our 70ties) stayed in the apartment on the 5th floor. 2. We finally got the mastercode to the safe so it could be reset after 1 day 3. the shaft running the entire length of the building from the top with an open skylight to the bottom, emitted a constant 24/7 noise that prevented us from opening the window - luckily, we had earplugs, so we could get some sleep. 4. The sofabed had very hard metal rods that hurt when lying down 5. A false fire alarm (from somebody showering) sent everybody out onto the street - a cleaner came, but NO information, no help whatsoever, since she did not want !!! to say anything, although she clearly spoke Portuguese 6. "ventilation in the bathroom was totally covered in old, fluffy material 7. The luggage storage at the entrance did not work, so we lost the 2 euros and got into an argument with a rude cleaner. All we got from the management was "so sorry for your inconvenience" - no compensation whatsoever - only useless points from Expedia, which we most certainly have no use for, since we are not going to...

The location of the apartment is great, close to public transportation, tourist attractions and restaurants. The size is good for maximum 4 people, though a bit small for some people. It has a small kitchen, which is easy to have a quick meal.

To my disappointment, the apartment said the elevator is fixed when I asked before the payment was about to be made because I saw many comments on Booking and google map, saying the elevator was not working. I was very disappointed when I checked in and noticed that the elevator was still not working because my mom’s knees are able to climb up the stairs with the luggage. I telephoned the apartment customer support and the response was cold and did not even say sorry about the situation. Very disappointed that the apartment could have notified us before we checked in so we would be ready for the situation.

Also, the shower ran out of hot water very quickly. My parents and I could only have hot water washing our hairs and when we were about to wash our body, the hot water was almost gone.

The coffee machine in the apartment was a joke as well because the apartment didn’t provide...
