Well, the pictures are somewhat accurate, but expectations are different. I am going to say that the location is very centric, which is a good thing. The room had 3 rugs and a wardrobe that are full of dust, it was so bad that my allergies were flaring. You could actually see the the dirt. Come on, you can clean that before getting a new guest. The design of the room is terrible, they could had had an unified room that serves for both living room and bedroom, but no, they had to make a wall to separate them. (I don't get it, it's for two people anyways, many hotels blend them). I think in an effort to reduce expenses, they did not hire a professional to design the rooms. Fortunately the shower was clean, but the floor of the restroom was stained with dirt. They ask you kindly not to put toilet paper on the toilet (which makes sense as is an old building) but the trash can they give you, fills after the first paper you put in. Also, they do not clean the rooms, so if you do number 2 and not flush the toilet paper, after 4 days, the restroom stinks. There is no side table and the power outlets are far from the beds. And the kitchen, well, I just decided to use that to put all the trash that it accumulated during my 4 days stay. Finally, although not their fault, it's hard to know which one is the building, moment you get out of the building there is people offering illegal drugs non-stop. Breakfast has terrible coffee and the orange juice tasted terrible. The price is not worth the stay. I got to say that they give you two tasty pasteis de Nata when you arrive, which is good, and in front of the hotel, it's A Ginjinha, where Anthony Burdein took a few shots. It's...
Read moreWe have been there in April 2022. We booked the guesthouse because we‘ve read all the positive reviews.||||Sadly I have to say that we do not agree with them.||||There is a flea market right in front of the door, every day. In order to get in you have to go through this market.||||We had a tiny room on the last floor. The staircase was very small so that lifting the suitcases up to our room was the challenge (No lift!).||||Our bathroom had a massive roof pitch so that we were not able to stand upright while taking a shower it even when getting of the toilet. We always had to bent down a little.||||There was absolutely no room Service and we had the feeling that the room our towels and the bedsheets were dirty After a few days. Nobody even filled up the toilet paper or cleaned out the dustbin.||||The guests were so loud during evening night and day that proper sleeping was not possible. In addition to that the waterboiler was next to our room, so that every time somebody used water the boiler went nuts.||||One day when we arrived we didn‘t have electricity because it just didn’t work on the last floor. Due to the fact that there was No staff after 5 pm nobody even noticed until we asked where the electricity was.||||We would absolutely not...
Read moreJust back from a short stay in Lisbon. We had such a great time and couldn't have asked for a more central guest house. Just off the square by the national theatre and walking distance to so much. We had a private room with shared bathroom but there was only one other room on our floor so never heard anyone else in there. Our room was on the first floor next to reception but you couldn't hear any of it so that was great. We arrived early and Beatrice at the front desk was super helpful and friendly getting us checked in early. She explained all about breakfast the next day and gave us plenty of suggestions for things to do around Lisbon, maps and all. The room was grand, we weren't in it for long only to sleep as we wanted to be out exploring. There was fresh water, towels and even an extra fan which was needed. Breakfast the next day was lovely, good selection of bread, cereal and cold cuts. We were planning a full day of exploring so checked out early and Beatrice said they would keep our luggage until that evening when we headed back to the airport, other places I've been might have only held it for a few hours. All the staff were so lovely but Beatrice was just amazing, so helpful and friendly. Will...
