I havemixed review to share. First the positives. The location is terrific. Very central, close to the metro, buses and beautiful historical sites. Also very close to the river and perfect walking distance to major points of interest in the city. There are multiple choices of restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner and casual cups of coffee or glass of wine right outside the door. The pastries are available everywhere and they are delicious. There are small but expensive supermarkets nearby where you can get fruit, water, toiletries etc. There’s also a Launderette within five minutes walking distance.||||The apartment itself was modern and well-equipped but we had to ask for an ironing board and iron. The bed was king sized- two twins together. There is a small kitchen with a two burner hob, small refrigerator, microwave, Nespresso machine and electric kettle. There is more than adequate China and glassware.||||Communication can be difficult at times with the manager of the apartments. There is no service in the way of cleaning or resupplying apartment unless you stay more than six nights. I had to go hunting for new trash bags when ours were full, And I bought more toilet rolls and soap as nothing was re-supplied. It would make a big difference to offer this small service, or keep supplies where they can be found by the residents and perhaps use ones key card to open the cupboard for example.||||Prepared for noise in the street into the wee hours of the morning. It wasn’t a big problem for us but it may bother others. It is a very central location with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. On the whole I recommend staying here if you’re aware of...
Read moreDo not book there for your own sake ! Terrible and rude behavior of asset owner which caused us tremendous damage and severe aggravation. Only the check in moment - while we arrive early in the evening with our 2 small daughters- following confirmed reservation (see attached) they literally told us that they are sorry but our reservation was canceled. However, they have never communicated to us this cancellation, not by email and not by phone call (!!!). Leaving us speechless in front of our daughters and super upset in the middle of the street after coming directly from the airport. This humiliating and hurting behavior is only a result of probably selling the same unit twice - to us via their website and to other via booking etc. just to understand- they never sent us any cancellation notice (!). When we demanded to show us the cancellation notice, the manger said it was “sent to the wrong client - Anthony his name. We are sorry for that”. Showing us cold and horrible reaction to our so inconvenient situation, which is only the result of their negligence. The local manager, who was extremely rude (blaming their office system), was the one personally corresponded with my wife via email the day before - several times - to confirm our arrival time and our check in requests. She actually deceived us and caused us huge damage. We finished this experience with Livinglisboa so upset and humiliated, so we recommend never to book there , and personally we consider to press charges against them to the touristic police and tourism office in Lisbon....
Read moreOn arrival we were put in a much smaller inferior apartment than we booked and paid for, with cheap plastic furniture. Despite showing the receptionist our booking confirmation and the pictures of the apartment which we had booked, the receptionist advised that these were old pictures, showing the previous furniture and the pictures are only ‘indicative’ of the type of apartment that you might get. This is clearly deception. We asked to speak to the Management about our concerns, but they never contacted us during our stay. Our sub standard apartment was stuck right up in the eaves, the bedroom was like a cave as it had the tiniest window you’ve ever seen (5cm x 10cm), long black hairs on the floor and in the shower, broken floor tiles and stained towels. Also, despite booking a double bed, what you get is two single beds pushed together, that have single bed sheets and then a blanket thrown over the top to pretend it’s a double, but as soon as you get in the beds move apart. Also, don’t be fooled by the attractive pictures of the full height double doors in the bedroom leading onto the balcony, I’ve attached a picture to show what you really get! During our Portugal tour we stayed at 10 different hotels and 9 were great, but this one was abysmal. If you are still in doubt, then go and check the other reviews for this hotel on...
