I came here because I have a minimum requirement of 4.5 to even enter any restaurant, but that theory doesn’t always work. In this case, I was rewarded for holding true to my standards. This place started with a 4.6 according to Google reviews. Good starting point from my book. After perusing the menu, Madani, my waiter offered a few suggestions or alterations to my menu for a very late lunch of tapas. I didn’t feel like a specific meal but more like snacking. At the end, I ate a ton. I had the shrimp in garlic, the roasted shishito peppers, the garlic pizza bread with Parmesan and some piri-piri sauce on top that the waiter brought me after it was served and some bruschetta on toast that had the best cherry tomatoes (I needed some vegetables in my life). Everything was delicious. I also ordered .5 of the red sangria which was honestly some of the best sangria I’ve ever had. Sometimes it is too sweet or too bitter or whatever. This time it was a perfect refreshing balance with some mint leaves rhat added a little something special. I almost didn’t come here because I was looking for something more Portuguese having just come from Napoli and having just had the best pizza of my life, but I trusted my review theory and took a risk. I am so glad I did. And the wait staff was super attentive and kind. This was a great afternoon tapas/dining experience. I’m so glad I came here. My bill was 55.10 euros and so worth it.

When you go to a restaurant it’s all about food (obviously). So when i came to this place and looked at the Food Card i thought.. WOW the the portions on the Food Card looks great! The price also looked really good (considering the restaurant is in the centre of Lisabon). So i ordered a “Chicken Steak” For 12,90€ When my food arrived i couldn’t belive my eyes! The so called “Steak” was about the size of a piece of lemon i got for my salad. I was shocked and quite pissed! The fries were literally just a regular market fries put on a plate.. I also sat outside of the restaurant because it was about 25 degrees celsius. When i was eating my food (which took about 2 mins. at max) i was interupted by bunch of people on the street trying to sell me a pair of glasses. I am not saying this is the restaurants fault, just an explenation for why i gave a 1 star rating in the “Atmosphere” collum. The service was great, but the service cannot save the restaurant as a whole. My Overall rating is a 1 star. I DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE FOR FOOD! Only if you are talkitive, dont care about the food, and you care more about the service part.

This restaurant is absolutely not Italian at all. The entire staff was non-Italian, and the pizza doughs were terrible. They even brought us bread to accompany the starters and it had mold on it. We were completely shocked when we saw it. We spoke to the manager, and with an “I don’t care” look on his face, he just said, “We’ll change it,” without even offering an apology. To make things worse, they still had the nerve to charge us for the bread. The only “Italian” part of this place is the music and the decor, clearly just there to pretend they’re Italian but it doesn’t represent Italy in any way. This whole experience left us completely disappointed. The staff’s reaction showed how little importance they place on hygiene, both outside and inside the kitchen. No further comment. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

Lies and crappy overpriced food in a tourist trap.

Wait staff just lies to your face.. the “freshly squeezed orange juice scam”. Despite confirming that the juice was freshly squeezed and getting a response of “yes it was squeezed in the morning”, so there was no language barrier confusion, what you get is €4.50 small glass of orange juice concentrate clearly from a tetra pack.

The waitress said the sauce with the fried shrimp in garlic is tasty and so we should get some bread for dipping, which we did. The sauce was near tasteless.

The reviews of this place have all the green flags, 4.7 stars, 500+ reviews, great pics of the interior and the food. However when you get there you start to see the red flags immediately:

  1. It’s on the main tourist drag & and you have their guys on the street with the menu trying to lure tourists in.
  2. You enter at 8pm on a Saturday in July and there’s no one seated inside!!
  3. the only people seated outside appeared to be Americans, all who were likely scammed by the same fake Google reviews that we were. There were no locals.

Sadly, we had reserved a table through Google and felt we had to eat there despite the res flags. Lesson learned.

Oh btw, they only...

Worst restaurant in Lisbon

DO NOT waste your time and calories here.

Carbonara was meant to have pancetta, but it’s just turkey bacon. I confirmed a few times with the staff asking if they had freshly squeezed orange juice, only to be rudely challenged. I was clearly served concentrate and the staff jutted out his chin and raised his voice that it was fresh,

Their tables are also shaky and when a couple beside us tried to help the staff stabilise the table, they were scolded instead to not move.

[edit] we ordered octopus, carbonara, a beer and an orange juice.

The octopus was CHEWY and tough, your jaw will HURT.

Also, our plates wasn’t garnished like the other tables.

At the end of the meal, we were sincere about giving feedback to the manager, but he took it so poorly. He GLARED at me and shouted: “if it’s not good, why did you finish the food”? We DID NOT finish the food because it was so bad. Tough and tasteless octopus and shitty pasta. He said we were the only one who found it bad. Look at the poor reviews.

Manager who is not open to feedback and rude.

When we were leaving, he stood at the door to shout at us.

Worst experience in Lisbon....
