Thank you to Diego and Pedro Falcao —-both make you feel like you’re at home!!! I recently stayed at Hotel da Baixa in Lisbon and was thoroughly impressed with both the location and the overall experience. Here’s a breakdown: Location: Situated in the heart of Lisbon’s historic center, the hotel is within walking distance to popular attractions like Praça do Comércio, the Santa Justa Elevator, and the vibrant Baixa district. The location makes it a perfect base for exploring the city, with easy access to public transportation. Room: The room was modern, stylish, and very clean. It had a comfortable bed with high-quality linens and a spacious, well-designed bathroom. The decor is sleek, with a mix of contemporary and traditional Portuguese touches. The soundproofing was good, so I didn’t hear street noise despite being in a busy area. The room was also equipped with all necessary amenities, including free Wi-Fi and a minibar. Service: The staff at Hotel da Baixa were incredibly friendly and helpful. From check-in to check-out, they were attentive and eager to offer recommendations or assist with any queries. I appreciated their local tips, which made my stay feel more personalized. Facilities: The hotel boasts a small but comfortable lounge area. There's also a rooftop bar, which offers a great view of the city. I didn’t dine at the restaurant, but the breakfast spread was fantastic, with a variety of fresh options. The hotel also offers a fitness center, though it’s a bit small. Atmosphere: The ambiance at Hotel da Baixa is relaxing yet chic, with a calm and welcoming vibe. It's a great place for both business and leisure travelers, offering a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. Overall: Hotel da Baixa is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Lisbon, thanks to its prime location, comfortable rooms, and attentive service. It offers great value for money considering the amenities and the central location. I highly recommend it and would definitely return on my next trip to Lisbon.

The hotel requested a review. I sent feedback by email, but the hotel did not respond to my feedback. Maybe in public I would get better attention? Here it goes: I was thinking not giving You feedback since You did not ask it at check out. Maybe still few words. We stayed ai Your hotel 24.-27.11.2023. The first two nights / days were nice. The staff was friendly and our room was very comfortable and clean. Also the breakfast and the Bar were ok. The live music was great! Thank You for those very nice experiences. The last night did not go that well. We wanted to go the bed early because the very long traveling day ahead. The elevator was broken. The repairman arrived very late at the hotel. We could not sleep because the noices of the elevator repair. Very irritating! Maybe You could do the repairing at some different time of the day?! The last morning the breakfast did not go very well either. The coffee was cold and I asked for a fresh cup of hot americano coffee. What we got was another cup of that same cold coffee. Then I wanted to have An omelette. The waiter asked for our room number. That was ok of course! We thought We could pay when checking out the hotel. When we left the restaurant other waiter run to say that we could not leave wihout paying. We said that we already gave the room number for the check. The waiter anounced loudly that she needs our name and room number. I gave her those two more times but she still wanted us back to write it down. It was very embarassing situation. Did she really think we had problems paying for 3,5 € omelette?!? At the check out there was a bill waiting for us. One omelette 8 €!!! I thought I could give You feed back at check out but Your hotel was not interested. Nobody asked did we enjoy our stay. You have notes at Your hotel lobby asking for Good hotel rating: ”Maybe 10?” What do You suggest I should rate this experience? Definitely not 10.

This was our first visit to Portugal. We visited Lisbon and Porto for a total of 6 nights. Da Baixa was the 3rd hotel we stayed in Portugal. We had earlier stayed at Hotel Altis Avenida just about 8 minutes away. Check-in process was very smooth just like the other hotels we have stayed at. The location of this hotel was great, being right at the central tourist area. There were people at all times of the day and night. The room we had booked was Classic Interior View Twin Room. . The first impression of this room is not good. The room is very small, I was told about 20 sq meters size. Now that should ordinarily be a good size, but unfortunately it is very deceptive as it also includes the bathroom in the measurement. In fact the room was very cramped, my wife and I could hardly walk around the room, we had 4 carry ons and they along with the other travel items just filled up all the floor space. I felt claustrophobic and complained to the staff. I must say the manager went out of his way and changed my room to the Deluxe city view for the 2nd night. This was definitely better than the 1st nite. With regard to the bathroom, the marble floor makes it very slippery in the shower area, and we mentioned this to see if they could provide some anti-slip mats to prevent falls. Overall I feel the staff deserve a 5 star rating as they were very nice and did all they could to help us be comfortable. I cant however say for the hotel website and would give them a 3 star rating as they need to be clear about the room dimensions.

A Luxury Boutique hotel in the old town of Lisbon. My husband and I stayed at Hotel Da Baixa in March, 2025 for 16 nights! Although longer than we would usually stay in a hotel, our stay was Truly Exceptional!! We are a retired couple that have travelled a lot, and this hotel met and exceeded our expectations in every aspect!

Hotel Staff: All the staff consistently provided "Exemplary Service", Professional, Very Friendly, and always going "Above and Beyond" to make our stay special! Leonor, at reception was Amazing!! She was extremely welcoming and helpful, and provided valued recommendations for the area! Leonor made us feel that our stay was personally important to her!! Special thanks also to Armindo Luis, the rooms manager for giving us such a Deluxe Suite, and making our stay very comfortable!

Hotel Rooms & Location: Great location for dining, sightseeing shopping, public transport, waterfront, and everything within walking distance in the old town! Our room was super comfortable, very clean with modern stylish and calming colours! Big fluffy towels, fridge Nespresso coffee maker, daily bottled water, blackout curtains, and although we have stayed in many 5 star hotels, this is the first hotel that had a hair straightener.....my frizzy hair thanks you!!

Breakfast & Dinner: The breakfast buffet was amazing with many choices for everyone. Virginia at breakfast was so friendly and made wonderful 'made to order omelettes'! Special thanks to the breakfast staff for great service, and spoiling us with 2 cappuccinos every morning! Dinner at Sebastiao restaurant in the hotel was incredible!! We don't tend to dine in hotel restaurants, but the food and service at Sebastiao was excellent, and rivals some of the well recommended restaurants in the area. The 'Al Ajillo shrimp' starter and any of the Risottos are a must! Thanks to Vitor and Renan for making our dining evenings special!

Pedro, in guest services, does a free walking tour daily, which includes a free cocktail at the end of the tour! Pedro is very friendly, and provides valuable information for sightseeing, and warmly greets guests for breakfast.

Hotel Lobby Bar & Reception Area: The hotel has live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights! Very nice to sit and relax in the lobby bar and enjoy dessert or a night cap! The Reception area has huge chocolate cookies, custard tarts, tea, coffee, water, and juice everyday! Very Nice!

As you can tell, we had an amazing stay and would Highly Recommend this hotel!! It is by far superior to some of the large 5 star hotels! Our Extreme Thanks to All of You! Cheers,...

Hotel da Baixa is a great 4* hotel in the centre of Lisbon. If you stay here, you won’t need to spend much on public transport or taxis, as many tourist attractions are within walking distance. Many bars and restaurants are within walking distance too, as well as the port. I was in room 115. It is an old building, and the outside cannot be altered. For that reason, some rooms don’t have much natural light. However, there are lots of lights within the room as well as a reading light, and the bathroom has many lights. The bathroom was large with a nice rain shower and 2 sinks. The toiletries provided were great too. There is a laundry service you can pay for if you need it, as well as a hairdryer, umbrella, safe with charging facility inside it, and minibar with some free drinks and bottled water provided daily inside the room and at reception. During the day, fruit or pastries are often available for free. The free walking tour with Pedro was also great and informative. The bed was super-comfortable, and I loved the bathrobe and slippers. The breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was great with lots of cereal, bread, hot food, fruit and waffles or omelettes can be made there and then. The only thing I would suggest is to have the wait staff walk around and see if anyone wants more coffee. This would be a simple thing to do and save always having to get their attention. There is AC in the room although you can open the windows. There is also an elevator. The house-keeping service was also great, and they visit the room again in the evening to see if you need anything else. Other good points were that there were many charging points throughout the room, as well as a desk and lots of storage space. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner as well as breakfast and prices are reasonable considering it is a city centre hotel. Food and drinks were lovely as was the service. The fish soup starter I’d highly recommend. Reception is available 24/7 and you can dial them from the phone in your room if you need anything. Overall, I’d happily return to this hotel as I like what they’ve done with the...
