Absolutely delicious food and delightful service! We had the poppadoms with chutney tray, onion bhajis and chicken tikka for starters, all of which were excellent. For mains, we had matter paneer and tarka daal with garlic naan and jeera rice. All highly recommended, but especially the matter paneer, which was some of the best we have had (our Mums' cooking aside), and the really soft, fresh and delicious naans. The mango lassi was the perfect consistency and sweetness. The mango mousse for dessert was simply heavenly according to our daughter! If you have ALLERGIES though, please inform the manager and not just rely on the server to confirm to you whether there are specific allergens (nuts in our case) in the dishes you are ordering. We found out from the manager, who took our order on our second visit, when re-ordering the matter paneer that they have nut flour in many main dishes there as part of the curry base. Although we had asked on our first visit, we were informed by the server the dish was nut free. No wonder it tasted so delicious on our first visit and then we couldn't pinpoint the cause of the allergic reaction (thankfully not anaphylaxis!) The manager was amazing and arranged for the dish to be made without the nut flour and it tasted even better.

Came here for my birthday. The main restaurant was closed but we were seated in the restaurant opposite. We arrived early about 6ish and was very quiet however it soon filled up. Poppadoms were excellent along with the sauces. I found it strange you have to pay extra for onion salad and then all it was was sliced onion. Ordered onion bhajis and they came out one minute later! They were flat and did not look like onion bhajis but tasted OK. My partner did not like them. When I asked for the menu back at end of the meal I noticed they looked exactly like vegetable pakora in the picture menu and nothing like the onion bhaji so think a mistake was made but not an issue. My partner ordered a veg thali and she said it was delicious. I had the mixed grill. Honestly it was the best tandoori mixed grill I have had! Great flavour on all the meat. They did me a spicy sauce for my nan which was also excellent. Didn't say anything about the bhaji as the mains were excellent. The waiter brought me a hot sauce to eat with the mix grill. It blew my partners head off. Lol. Be careful if you're not used to hot sauces. Will definitely be back.

Delicious. Absolutely delicious. Visiting Lisbon and we walked by this restaurant and decided to check the menu out. We decided to bite the bullet and picked up dal makhni, chicken tikka and a few naans. Dal makhni: absolutely fantastic definitely reminded me of Dubai and was one of the best I've had at a restaurant, creamy and the lentils were extremely well cooked. Chicken Tikka, don't let the colour confuse you, I know most of the times chicken tikka has a red hue, but this was absolutely fantastic. The flavours were on point and it was cooked perfectly. The naans were delicious, soft and were really well done. They weren't overly chewy and definitely had good tandoor flavour. They also have us a bit of their butter chicken sauce which was also really good. After a day of walking up and down hills this definitely hit the spot and we are so glad we stopped by and picked up some food from here.

I was unwell during my trip to Lisbon, and discovering Swaagat felt like a miracle. The staff took care of me as if I were family, something I'll never forget in my life. They went above and beyond, paying close attention to every detail and making a genuine effort to ensure I was comfortable and on the road to feeling better. The warmth and care they extended, along with their amazing food, is the true essence of Indian hospitality. Every dish was nourishing, flavorful, and crafted with love, which made all the difference in helping me recover. A special shoutout to Ravi, who was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in on me and offering helpful suggestions. Everybody's compassion truly stood out and made me feel at home. If you're in Lisbon, this is an absolute must-visit!

We randomly stumbled upon this gem. This spot is probably the best Indian food I've ever tasted. We ordered chicken masala, lamb Britain, and their Indian bread (Naan) with garlic. We also ordered the mango lassi. Every single dish was delicious. The lamb was well-seasoned, tender and juicy, with no gamey taste to it. The chicken masala was very flavorful as well and had a touch of sweetness to it. Lastly, all the sauces were a great combination and they had this interesting and very good hot sauce. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would I come back? Yes, if I am craving Indian food and something different from all the seafood available here in Lisbon.
