No parking around No handicap accessible entrance Really steep stairs and narrow. Hills are everywhere and steep. The only way that you come back to this place is walk up to the steep hill. If you stay in third floor good luck but far for noise level from street restaurant. NO elevator and stairs too steep and small. Definitely not for family with young children and who ever have physical problems for walk. Noise level from street restaurants are high when weekends but will be over around midnight. You also hear everything when guests walk in to the stairs if you sleep in the leaving room because hallway too narrow and directly to every room. Another than this is all excellent experiences. Service is excellent and responsive. Quick answered if you need anything. Room are clean and minimalist. Two bedrooms with queen bed, large closet and window can be open for fresh air. Kitchen with everything you need for cooking and large refrigerator. Working washer machine but pretty lound and you need to hanging your clothes on the line outside the window. you also need detergent. Large living room with sofa bed. Good size bathroom and clean, water is hot and high pressure. This place is safe and secure with entrance code door and room door. Stair way with security camera. This place is next to many great restaurants in walking distance. Duque five minutes, Ramiro seafood restaurant twenty minutes Tapas 52 ten minutes. A lots of late night drinking places in the area such as The Little Wine Bar next to the building. Two minutes to Flor do Mundo for good morning coffee for best fresh orange juice and Englishbreakfast. Five minutes walk to O Trevo for best pork sandwich. Ten minutes walk to R. Garrett. (shopping street). Small grocery shop next too the building as well. You can get to every place in walking distance. Tuk Tuk, taxi or electric scooter right on front of the Church of Sao Roque. I definitely come back to stay here again...
Read moreI start by saying that I never wrote a bad review in my life, as myself I work in the Tourism sector for more than 10 years.
It was the first time in my life I had to deal with such an unpleasant situation like this one. We booked a room for 3 nights in Loving Chiado on Booking.com just before the COVID started, and of course, we paid everything in advance. Just before our holiday, COVID happens and we were forced to cancel our flights/hotels due to the lockdown.
All the other hotels, flight company, even the concert tickets we had bought and paid got refunded, as the situation was bad and no one was allowed to travel. Everyone, except Loving Chiado. In tourism is about understanding and giving a good customer service. Which, of course, they lack. We did not decide not to go, we did not leave the apartment cause we did not like it. We lost our jobs and on top of the we were not able to leave our country. I sent them many emails, to which they never replied, not even to one, at least to explain which was the reason why the refund could not be done.
I really do hope this review will catch the attention of the owners/managers, hoping at least to get an answer to my emails.
I hope every one else will have the chance to enjoy this lovely place. As...
