Emil Balaban Luxury Apartment Hotel — Hotel in Bucharest

This place was legit. It is, as the name suggests, a hotel that is apartment style. Check-in was contactless and digital, which made it easy to do online. A code was given to us when we checked in so we could enter it into a keypad and voila, our hotel. The apartment/room was spacious with a small kitchen (microwave, espresso machine, sink), combined living room and bedroom, and bathroom. The espresso machine was the nicest touch - easy to drink coffee in the morning and the host provide a snack along with it. On the coffee table was a booklet of things to do/eat/say in Romania that was brief but thorough, and really useful in deciding what to eat (papanasi!). The bathroom was nice - a double-headed shower - and large. We were traveling for two weeks, bouncing from hotel to hotel, and this was my favorite place to stay given how comfortable and quiet it was. My one regret was that we couldn't...

I had a wonderful stay at these apartments in Bucharest! Everything was absolutely great — the place looks freshly renovated, modern, and super clean. It felt like brand new! The apartment had a very pleasant smell, everything was tidy and well-organized, and the atmosphere was both cozy and comfortable.

The communication with the host was smooth and easy — very responsive and helpful. I stayed for one or two nights and was genuinely impressed by the quality for the price. It’s a fantastic value!

The location is also a big plus — right in the city center, close to major attractions, restaurants, and public transport. It was really convenient to get around.

We had the most traumatic experience possible. The room was full of bed bugs — my husband and I were bitten all over our bodies, we lost clothes, luggage, and countless nights of sleep. We had to throw away personal belongings and spend a large amount of money due to the damages caused.|The involvement of the property owner was almost non-existent. At first, he promised to help us with compensation for the damages, but later changed his mind, accusing us of inflating the laundry bill.
