We were craving sushi when we spotted Sushi House from the bus. It was Saturday evening, and although the restaurant was nearly empty—just a single family dining—we decided to give it a try. The place looked clean and inviting from the outside, and we were welcomed kindly upon entering.
The atmosphere is pleasant, with a modern and simple design that makes you feel comfortable. We ordered a mix of sushi (I always go for salmon), Teriyaki Chicken, and Teriyaki Salmon. The food was fresh and flavorful—nothing revolutionary, but well-prepared and satisfying. It’s worth noting that the kitchen isn’t open-view, which might matter to some, but didn’t impact the quality of what we were served.
There were, however, a couple of small drawbacks. A significant number of items on the menu weren’t available, which was a bit disappointing. And while the service was generally polite, some gestures—like the waitress using an electronic cigarette in her free time—felt a bit too casual for a restaurant setting.
All in all, Sushi House has potential. With a bit more attention to the menu’s availability and a sharper focus on the dining experience, it could really shine. Romanian restaurants are evolving, and expectations are growing—not just for good food, but for variety and a fully welcoming atmosphere.
If you're exploring Bucharest and in the mood for sushi, it’s a decent stop—just don’t go in expecting...

It was an unpleasant experience. We came for dinner on Valentine's Day and at first the waitress was friendly. But then she started to be rude.
She didn't bring chopsticks, and when we asked her to do so, the woman exclaimed in displeasure: "Okay!"
Also, there were no napkins on the table, we finished eating and politely asked for napkins, the waitress stood silently and looked at us as if we had tortured her with requests.
After that, she asked my boyfriend if we are married and then told him he would be single. She added that she is married and she doesn’t interested in him. After that she came to us again and said: “I still don’t like you”.
The waitress crossed all the boundaries and ruined our romantic evening.
The food was mediocre, sushi rolls were cut in different sizes which is strange for restaurant...
Read moreI’m very surprised this place has so many good reviews, I suspect some cheating with rates. In general it quite an average place with average food. Ramen was pretty bad at all, sushi was ok, but nothing special. A/C wasn’t working and it was insanely hot inside. I would not go there if I have to choose next time, do not recommend.
UPD - response to feedback from owners: haha, ok - we ate everything just because we were really hungry and took away the rice because we paid for it already and it better to leave it for homeless on my opinion; if needed - I can send you at least 3 places with similar cuisine which is MUCH better than yours, prices are the same, but they're not even close to 5 stars :) If you're cheating with the reviews - please, do it trustable at least; if you're pretending to be 5 stars on Google out of 1k reviews you should strive...
