The food was old and microwaved. Meat (pork) was dry and chewy at the same time, chicken was just dry and full of bones. Potatoes tasted re-heated as well. Only thing that tasted good was the dressing, which was probably taken from the freezer. The wine order was mixed up (red wine of a same brand instead of rose), but was fortunately replaced with no additional cost. The rim of the wine glass had some dirt on it (about 3-4cm) that did not come off with wiping. Cocktails were not very professionally made, Mai Tai was basically rum with ice, overall %vol was around 25-30. We also had to wait around 20 minutes to order our cocktails after finishing the food, so the waiter was not around for about 30-40 minutes. When paying the check in cash, noone comes around to collect (we waited for 20 minutes) it so you basically are forced to leave a tip if you do not have the exact change. Not that tipping would be bad but it usually is polite to offer change back to the customer.

Read moreArtemis restaurant may not look like high cuisine but there is something almost magical in the food. Maybe it is oriental mixed with the Mediterranean but I am concluding that it is much more than that. Having lived all my childhood in the Middle East, I have had the opportunity to enjoy the many “perfumes” of the different cuisines. This is what makes Artemis so special, the Adana kebab is spectacularly delicious but not in a strictly Lebanese way. There are other flavours in the meat mix, could be Turkish mixed with traditional Lebanese but I would venture to say Kurdish also. Whatever it is, it is delicious as is the bulgur and the traditional hummus plate.
If this was not itself enough there are a wide range of traditional Italian, Greek and Romanian dishes.
A wonderful culinary experience at a very...
