My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel only for one night on June 13th. We booked the hotel within one day for the location mainly as it was literally a 2 min walk from the Indian Embassy as i had gone to Bucharest for an Indian Visa Interview. Also, hotel is located on the main boulevard of Dacia which takes you to the main junction that you can walk through all the great buildings, museum and eventually end up at the old city (all at about 45 min walk).
Overall the hotel staff was friendly and admitted our late check in at 21:00 and late check out after 19:00 the next day. They were also nice to book us a cab when we left the hotel for the airport, however they couldn't accommodate the same to pick us up from the airport as they needed advance notice, which was fine i believe although we did end up getting ripped off from the taxi that night :(. The staff was helpful overall, friendly and smiley. Breakfast included was not bad for the price of the hotel.
Room 303 was average (bathroom tub cum shower was a bit too small) but good for the price although we did get 2 single beds for a couple so that was a bit annoying but we didn't make any request as we only stayed for one night. Sleep was a bit of a problem as AC didn't seem to work well that night and we ended it up sleeping with an open window which was great for the fresh air but bad for the terrible noise coming from outside due to some road reconstruction. But again, we didn't complain about the AC not working as we only stayed at the hotel for one night. The wifi worked really fast!
Overall the hotel was great for the reasons chosen. I will definitely stay there again if going to Bucharest for the...
Read moreI live in the United States and have many times been disappointed with the European hotels. Here is an exception. I have stayed one night at Dan Hotel in Bucharest. A little off from the center and yet few minutes driving from downtown Bucharest. From the first contact I had with the front desk manager I felt being treated with warmth and professionalism. The large room was sparkling clean, with a little minibar stocked with drinks, sodas and water. Nice , modern and functional furniture. Good mattress, had a very good sleep on it. The bathroom is very clean with all the needed toiletries.||The morning breakfast was quite good. Fresh cold cuts, cheese, warm omelets and bratwursts, cereals, toasts with several jam assortments. Juices and coffee. Everything of utmost freshness and quality. The mezzanine breakfast area is cozy and in the same note as the entire hotel, sparkling clean.||The hotel Director Mrs. Khamissi, had a large smile in the morning and asked if there was anything else she could do to be totally satisfied at the end of my stay. She was a very refreshing but discreet presence, a true professional. It confirmed again that this hotel is managed extremely well, offering the most for a good price.||I recommend this boutique hotel with enthusiasm to anybody...
