FRAUD ALERT Do not stay at this property no matter what..they are fraud, big time!!! Me and my partner had the unfortunate experience of staying at this place for one night as we found them on Booking.com and it was bar far the worst experience during all of our travels. To start, there’s no one to check you in physically so we got to the apartment and there’s no way for us to get a hold of anyone as there was only a phone number from the property in the booking details. They don’t realize that people that are international travellers usually are not able to make a phone call using their phone. We tried WhatsApp but no luck. Finally we found we borrowed someone’s phone in the street and asked to make a phone call. The woman who answered said we can go in and get the key from the room as the door is open. We get back home around 10 pm in the pouring rain and the main door to the building was closed this time and we had no way to get in (the woman did not explain to us earlier how we can get in and how the fob worked). Again we go in the street searching for someone who we can borrow their phone. We were both so tired and just wanted to get some rest. A pub owner and a guy who was there tried helping us by calling this woman and getting the info from her but she was so rude to them that even they couldn’t deal with her (they asked her to email the photo with instructions to us but she wouldn’t). They kept passing the phone to each other in frustration telling us that this woman is crazy. She made us wait for over and hour and finally when she came to the pub she starting yelling profanities to the two guys that had tried to help us. Then she took out her credit card reader and forced my boyfriend to pay her an extra 25 euros for ‘city tax and cleaning fee’ outside the door. I had already paid for all the taxes and fees on booking.com but she threatened that if we didn’t pay her we had to take our stuff and leave. She was yelling and screaming and the most rude person I’ve ever dealt with. Quite clearly mentally unstable. I wanted to call the police but we couldn’t use our phones to make a phone call. I only came across this properly on booking.com or else I wouldn’t have ever booked with them because later I read the other horrible reviews on google. Overall this properly ended up costing us a lot more than the most expensive and luxury hotels that we could have booked with such a traumatizing and horrible experience. I will be following up with my credit card company to report this fraud and also with booking.com to remove this fraudulent and unprofessional company off...
Read moreI recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Pekarna Apartments, and I must say that it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The level of unfriendly service and lack of customer friendliness left a sour taste in my mouth.
First and foremost, the main issue arose due to a booking error on our part. Upon check-in, we immediately informed the staff at the Hotel Mrak (who manage the check-in and payment for Pekarna Apartments) about the mistake. Despite acknowledging the error, they still proceeded to charge us for four nights instead of the three we had intended to stay. Shockingly, they never bothered to mention this to us, hoping we wouldn't notice on the invoice during checkout. This is nothing short of deceitful and dishonest behavior.
When we realized the overcharge, we attempted to address the matter with them multiple times via phone and email. However, they exhibited a blatant disregard for customer service by not responding until a staggering ten days later. Such unprofessional conduct only further intensified our frustration.
Beyond the poor customer service, the condition of the apartment was less than satisfactory. While it might have appeared acceptable at first glance, the air quality inside was dreadful and smelly whenever the air conditioning was turned off. This is not only uncomfortable but also potentially hazardous to health.
Additionally, it's worth mentioning the surprising lack of basic amenities in the apartment. Salt and pepper, two kitchen staples, were not provided. When we inquired about this, the response we received was outright unfriendly, suggesting that we should purchase these items ourselves. This lack of consideration for guests' needs is simply unacceptable.
In summary, I strongly advise against staying at Pekarna Apartments. The appalling level of customer unfriendliness and unresponsive behavior, coupled with poor air quality and missing amenities, make it an accommodation to avoid at all costs. Save yourself the headache and frustration, and look for alternative options that truly value their guests' comfort and...
Read moreJust back from an amazing stay in Ljubljana made all the better by the wonderful welcome by the team at Pekarna apartments. We were super lucky and they managed to work check in around our arrival time, which meant we go in straight from the airport. Communication prior to arrival was second to none as was the welcome. Now for the apartment itself.... I was blown away with how nice and spacious it was. Plenty of storage, basis supplied, super comfy bed and a wonderful bathroom with a huge shower. Freezing temps at night but we were toasty warm in the studio. Easy walking distance from the river... And probs 6/7mins to dragon bridge. Great location for all your needs.. And a new Lidl just along the road for any food supplies required. Really don't have any complaints and when I'm back I'll definitely be staying again! Keep up the good...
