After waiting an hour, waiter âJust pay and goâ
First impression was good (because of the design and atmosphere) but later everything was ruinedâŠ
After we made the order more than 45 minutes have passed, people who came after us already got their order and ate it. No one came to us to explain why so I went to the staff and found out that our breakfast was fallen on the floor and the new one will be in a few minutesâŠAgain NO ONE even tried to come, apologize and inform about it.
After 15 more minutes we got our breakfast- it was dry, the egg was fried, although it should not have been (Croque âsomethingâ Madame). A friend actually had some kind of porridge (in a bad way) with canned tomatoes, a few fried eggs and sauce.
I ask waiter to come but he didnât, so I came to him and ask for a discount for waiting an hour, for what I got âI canât give a discount. Just pay and goâ - Excuse me? We said that it wasnât our fault that they fell our order on the floor, on that waiter said âItâs not my fault too. Just pay and goâ
How it can be even possible and acceptable? Can staff at least try to be polite, explain the situation and offer something or at least apologizeâŠIts a basic customer...
Read moreWe visited Le Petit CafĂ© in Slovenia during the Easter period, which made the experience extra charming because the cafĂ© was decorated with seasonal motifs. I really appreciate when places adapt their atmosphere to different times of the year â it adds a nice touch.
One thing that stood out to me was how convenient it is that the bistro is open until 11 p.m. Itâs not easy to find a proper place to eat at that time, so we were really glad to still catch it before closing. My friend ordered an onion soup, which she really enjoyed, and we also shared a couple of cocktails that were served in a cute, girly way â we liked that detail a lot.
As for dessert, I tried a chocolate brownie-style cake. It wasnât anything spectacular, more of a simple and regular cake, but still nice enough to finish the evening. The bathroom was clean and decent, and the overall vibe of the cafĂ© was relaxed and welcoming.
The staff were friendly and managed to communicate with us in English, so we felt comfortable. Altogether, Iâd say Le Petit CafĂ© is definitely worth a visit if youâre looking for a cosy place with good service and a nice atmosphere...
Read moreI came with high expectations given all the good reviews for breakfast.
I was looking for a table and then I met the grumpiest waiter Iâve ever met in Slovenia! I basically asked for a table for four and he told me go ahead and choose one you like. I went to see a table that would accommodate the four of us and I couldnât find one. Because the cafe was super busy and the grumpy waiter left us âdeal with itâ my husband wanted to fix the table for is us. Suddenly, the grumpy waiter decides to show up and give us a lecture with an angry tone saying âwhy you donât tell me to do it?? Donât fix the tables!â Iâm surprised with this unnecessary attitude as he left us wondering in the first place!
It is a common etiquette to guide your guests and arrange the tables for them instead of ruining their morning with your unfriendly attitude!
He could have said the same exact thing with a better respectful tone, because we didnât damage or disrupt anything in the cafe.
To add to this bad start, he continued the grumpy service...
