OnThai — Restaurant in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

My rating is 4,5 stars for the food but 2 to 3 stars for the ambient. Let's start with the pros: the food tastes great - if you want some great food, this is the place to get it from. Lots of vegan options too. The food is very flavourful, lots of veggies and authentic Thai spices and other ingredients. The prices are affordable and there's enough food for a grown man per portion. Most of the items are 7,9€ which is a bargain for what you get in return. My only complaint is that it's a bit too greasy. What could be improved? The place really could use at least a little bit of cleaning to make the experience a little bit more enjoyable. I understand it's a street food place, hence no toilets and a tiny space, but that's no excuse why the ceiling, electrical wiring, gas pipe etc looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the previous tenants occupied this place, which is a surprise to me since all the workers whom I've seen were female. The entry door is very shabby as well so that puts you off a bit from the get go. I'd recommend to change it. It would be worth the investment. If you order take out from this place through Wolt or Glovo, you will probably enjoy the food even more. Best of luck to the staff and I will definitely return to try some other menu...

It was really a great restaurant. We were on the last of our Slovenia trip and we felt like our trip would have been incomplete without this food. All the items were super delicious with proper spices. Also, the lady was so kind and lively it made our day. The last thing I want to mention is there is a quote written in the restaurant that goes like "recipes don't have soul but it's the cook's job to put the soul into the recipe and make it soulful and delicious" and we literally felt that. Fantastic Authentic Thai in Ljubljana! OnThai is, without a doubt, the best Thai restaurant in Ljubljana! I was so impressed that I ate there two nights in a row.
