Lian Guesthouse — Hotel in Seoul

I stayed for 2 nights, totally got fooled by the photos, I should've known that in reality it will be full of stuff, but i think the photos are misleading. There is no elevator as stated, so if you have lots of stuff, don't book here. The location is only less than 5 minutes walk from Hongik Uni station exit 7, and right above 2 restaurants, however there were no noise heard. Yes it is located in the middle of restaurants and shops. The mattress is not comfortable (I stayed at different hostel in Busan and the mattress is very comfortable), there is no privacy curtain or locker in the room. The breakfast, when I was there is western food which I didn't eat because I had no time. There are only 2 tiny toilet and shower combo, and 1 bigger toilet and shower (which is also a laundry room), which can get very busy as there are 5 rooms with bunk beds in the hostel so you'll be fighting for toilets! The cleanliness is so so but because it is a bit cluttered and the living room is small. There is also the owner's dog. I will not go back there if I ever in Seoul again. If you're reading this, you can stop searching right now. Nary is an absolute sweetheart. Ask her for anything and she'll be glad to help and give local recommendations. She'll even act as a concierge (she booked our DMZ tour for me and a few guests). Her breakfast every morning is the best way to start your day.

Location is unbeatable - a 2 minute walk from Hongik Station and in the heart of the Hongdae area. All Nary's facilities are clean and convenient, and the place has a really homey vibe. Met and went out with a lot of cool guests. For a solo traveler, this place is like a home away from home!

Nary, the owner, is a lovely lady! She will do anything to make you feel comfortable in her home! The location is situation at the bottom of Hongdae Clubbing scene so close by but far enough to enjoy some peace during the night.
