I made a huge mistake and booked one day less than I planned to stay. On the day I was actually supposed to check out, I had gone somewhere far from the hotel without checking out and they contacted me letting me know i needed to check out. Even though check out is 11, they gave me until 1pm but of courae i couldnt make it back in time. I called them to check if I could book one more night and they said it was no problem and said I could come back when it's convenient for me to pay and extend my stay. I was really thankful for this because the problem was caused by my mistake. In terms of the room, it's quite spacious. It's industrial style. The bathroom has a modern toilet with as many or more functions than a Japanese toilet. The bath tub is massive. Keep in mind, this hotel doesn't do complimentary housekeeping unless you stay for 7 or more days, they don't regularly bring towels to your room or come collect your garbage, you must go and get towels from reception and dispose of your rubbish. The room doesn't provide too much stuff but just the necessities like medium fridge, hair dryer, body wash, conditioner, shampoo, face towel, bin. For me this was perfect because I don't often use the other amenities in a hotel so it ends up being a waste usually. I'm also usually okay without housekeeping everyday so it felt more private for me. The hotel gym is new and clean, I also tried the brunch cafe downstairs and that was quite good too. The only bad point is that it's quite far from Hongdae station. Around a 15-20 minute walk. When making plans, you should take thst into account so you're not late. If you don't mind the walk, it's really nice because the location is very quiet and there's lots of restaurants, cafes, bakeries and convenience stores along the way. Honestly while staying here, it felt like I was living here in Korea rather than...
Read moreoverall it's very good. It looks nice and has lots of facilities that people need. Three things to complain or need improvement. In this hotel, the AC is not working and the air circulation is overall not good. Front desk staff is very polite that when I asked him why the AC doesn't respond to my panel control. He said it's because it's centralized and you cannot control it. I have to open the window to cool down. This issue has been reported by other tourists. I am lucky that I visited Korea on April and the weather outside is cool while the circulation and temperature in the room is not good. The floor structure make the air circulation very bad. I also saw other people complained about mosquitoes. I lived on 7th floor and luckily, it's not an issue for me. The functional concept is cool but it missed a lot of details. it's quite annoying that the motion detector light in the hotel room entrance cannot be disabled. There is no lamp light in the desk inside the room. The card in, electricity ON and card out, electricity OFF concept is quite stupid nowadays. It's difficult to find a private space in this hotel to make a loud phone call or conference call. I have a over-night interview with north America team and Conference room booking is very expensive, at least 20,000 won per hour while the room doesn't look like very useful. Keep quiet is needed in your hotel room as the room isolation is not very good. I find a nearby study room with private space, the AC there is working, it has double window to isolate noise, what's more, It only takes 30 USD total to book one night. There is a soft sofa that I can snap for a while. The only problem is that I need my korean friend to help me book if because I don't have a korean...
Read moreThe place is very cool and new. Great neighborhood with coffee footsteps away. Only a short 7-10 minute walk to Hongdae Shooping Street area! Love the interior design choices, furniture, fixtures, etc. The place is very minimalists and basic. You need to hang your towels? No hooks or rails in the bathroom. You need to plug in the kettle? No outlet the cord can reach and kettle can sit on table anywhere expect for bathroom. You need to stir your coffee? Nothing to stir but the back of your own brought toothbrush. You want to only have the hanging lamp on? You can’t because of the track lighting design (which I thought was cool at first). View is great! Couch is next level comfortable and cool design. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Only two pillows (things like this is where you see the simplicity of the hotel). I feel the rooms are made to be for future apartments (but lack of electrical in the “kitchen” area throws me off. No food is allowed in the rooms. Lose your key and you have to pay. No cleaning service unless you stay longer than 7 days (then you get one time free). Cool place overall, but things feel a bit off after you’re here for a night and you miss the normal...
