We are on our 1st of 9 nights here in the hotel, and are already exploring other alternatives for accommodation in the area. Let me tell you why.

The shower leaked water under the door, creating a mess, with no extra towels provided for cleanup. Adjusting the shower angle was impossible without soaking nearby items.

The tap water in our toilet appeared murky and chalky, indicating poor water quality. Despite running the tap for about 5 minutes, the water remained discolored and unpalatable, leaving us hesitant to use the facilities. This issue persisted for an alarming duration, suggesting a problem with water filtration or maintenance within the hotel's plumbing system.

Upon inspecting the kettle provided in our room, we were dismayed to find it covered in visible rust, raising significant concerns regarding its safety for use. The presence of rust not only compromises the hygiene standards of the room but also poses a potential health hazard to guests.

The pillowcases were marred by noticeable brownish-yellow stains, detracting from the cleanliness and comfort of the bedding. We ended up not using the pillows for the night.

Despite advertising a 'luxurious airport transfer' service, only directions to a public bus were provided, negating the advertised privilege.

Express check-in/out service was advertised but not available; we had to wait until 4 pm for check-in despite arriving at 10:30 am.

Storage Facilities. The hotel claimed to offer 'proper luggage facilities', but guests were instructed to leave luggages in a public area/lobby without tags or security measures.

The lack of 24/7 reception and security was alarming. Two room key cards were left unattended on the reception counter with detailed guest information, compromising guest safety and privacy. This also left us unable to seek assistance when our room flooded and when tap water was disgustingly polluted.

Overall, our experience fell far short of the advertised standards, with multiple amenities and services failing to meet expectations. We urge management to address these issues promptly to ensure a safer and more enjoyable stay for...

A Japanese friend of mine booked this hotel for me. It was a rather long booking. The check in was awkward due to the front desk person laughing about how long our room was reserved for. It made it uncomfortable. The room has barely enough space to walk next to the beds. Zero daily housekeeping, you have to ask for waters, towels, garbage to be taken away... One of the female front desk people laughed at the fact my daughter had a Korean flag....and that same front desk person was always super rude with me whenever I was in their view. The other front desk people followed suit of the woman, and not to mention the fact they supply very cheap toilet paper that runs out quickly, they laughed every time we needed to ask for more....which we wouldn't need to if they had daily housekeeping or spent a little more on toilet paper for a better brand...... I ended up leaving an entire month early. The front desk woman freaked out and got defensive saying I can't get a refund for leaving early...when I didn't bring up a refund....but i definitely deserved one.. the housekeeper was creepily quiet and ignored me on purpose but made sure to slam the doors super loudly when cleaning other rooms on my floor. Super creepy. He also smiled and waved at my daughter after purposely ignoring me, which my daughter ignored. The whole experience was uncomfortable . The bathroom had a vent almost directly above the toilet, and it leaked water onto you while you peed. And no, it isn't from use of the shower. I told the front desk but they didn't do anything. They didn't even offer to change rooms. There was one front desk person who was kind and normal. but Unfortunately the rest of the family sucked. Great place to go if you don't mind being treated badly and even mocked due to lack of professionalism. Or if you like mediocre facilities and service. There were even items under the bed from past guests....Hopefully they can spend the 2,000 usd they got for free from from me to take some socialization and professionalism classes, buy some some better toilet paper, and fix some leaks so you can use the toilet without without...

I had to book a hotel urgently because my flight was redirected to Seoul due to a storm. Another reminder to read the reviews before booking, even if you’re in a hurry.

The location is good if you wish to explore the temples and the nearby village.

The building itself, however, requires a full reno. The kitchen/community/wash area in the souterraine stinks like a forgotten wet cloth. Beware of the “traditional” Korean shower, meaning that the shower is located above the toilet, also meaning you cannot step into the bathroom again without some kind of shoes once you’ve showered; also meaning there is mold on the plywood door and elsewhere. The shower shoes are provided. The view from my cellar-like room was the rainwater drain on the base level. No natural light in the room either.

The bedding had stains on it.

If you do decide to stay here, do not take the ground floor rooms because the walls are paper thin and you will hear even the pop of a beer from the wash/community area, which is used...

The garden hotel is more of a hostel than a hotel. And as a hostel, it is pretty good. You get your own room, snacks, can do your laundry, small communal area, super helpful staff and extremely good location to see a lot of tourist areas. But it is not a 3-star hotel. The rooms are small, the beds are hard, and didn't allow us to sleep very well, and the bathroom itself is the shower. Which worked better than expected, but doesn't give you a lot of space to move around and requires more planning, since everything will get wet - so can't have any towels, or toilet paper or clothes in there. And generally, there wasn't a lot of space to put things. For the bathroom and beds, I have to deduct a star each, and another one since we found a lot of dirt in out of sight places - under and next to the beds, that were not super hard to reach. Price was great, and location is fantastic. But one should know these things, before making the choice to stay here.
