BAD MEAT SERVED TO CUSTOMERS - WALK AWAY!

In October I came to Tenerife with my mum and my two children, and we had a couple of nice meals here while staying nearby at GF Victoria. I rated it so much that I returned with my husband and booked GF Gran Costa thinking how often we would eat here and what a great find this was.

Fast forward to today - we arrived at the hotel and walked here at around 6pm, absolutely starving after a long flight from London. We both ordered beef fillet steaks - we were tended to by the older, English-speaking gentleman who I remembered from our previous visits. After a while our steaks arrived looking great but as I took a bite, to my shock, I realised the meat had gone bad and smelled absolutely FOUL. I don’t eat steak often so at first I thought my sense of smell was off because of the flight and asked my husband if the smell was normal. He took a bite from his and almost threw up. The waiter whom we ordered with was nowhere to be seen so we called someone else and asked him to smell a small piece - he could not. I explained in Spanish we could not eat this. He took the steaks back to the kitchen and returned a few minutes later apologising in Spanish. He said we were right, the kitchen had made a mistake.

The original waiter returned and asked if we wanted rib eye instead. We refused. We finished our sides (fries), stood up and asked to pay on the way out (we also had some water and a virgin Mojito). The waiter declined so we just left. We walked to the beach and had a lovely fresh meal somewhere else.

On the way back to Gran Costa, a rep of the restaurant stood on the steps trying to attract customers in. We just shook our heads thinking we could have both gotten sick and ended up in hospital!

DANGEROUS FOR KIDS!!! We went with our 3 childreens in this restaurant and I do not recommend especially for childreens as the food was not cooked. We ordered the kids menu for 2 and I wanted to taste the fish before my kids and I was shocked as they were still freezing ans not cooked and had a strange smell. Are you serious? Are you playing with your customers life just to fill your pockets?I took the plates to the kitchen by myself and showed them that their fish are still with ice and no cooked. They were arguing between them and nobody is responable... Service 0. The person who took us the order he was in a continuous rush.. Talking with his colleagues while he was taking our order, runing and the entire team was lost and bad organised. The customers near to us had the same feelings and the sale problem.. They forgot us and they bring the order 1 hour later. We made a mistake choosing this restaurant.I do not...

We passed on a early afternoon and it was very busy. We checked the menu out, read some reviews and went back for food in the evening. It was pretty quiet but they had some great live music duo singer/guitar and keyboard player. Service is good. My wife had the arrabiata and zuccini and she really enjoyed it. I had the garlic chicken and fries. The chicken wasnt tender and the fries only just looked cooked. We had 2 glasses of house red and that was good. Overall glad we called, prices were good but unfortunately wont call again as when you feel you can cook certain meats to a fair standard at home its dissapointing when it doesnt match that when eating out. Im no chef by the way but it is basic to not have slightly chewy meat. Nice...
