Ola Living MACBA — Hotel in Barcelona

Stayed in the 3 Bedroom Apartment in Sept 23. The 3 bedroom apartment is on the ground floor and has an upstairs. The 3 of us arrived midday on the Thursday. At first the instructions were a little unclear as we thought we had to head to there office to pick up keys however this is not the case. You can gain access by tapping your phone.

We headed to the office and picked up 3 key cards. You can leave your cases with them if you get there earlier but our room was ready so we went straight to apartment. When looking at Google Maps the Apartment looked to be down a narrow quiet road however many roads in Barcelona are this narrow and the area is in fact quite busy with many people walking around and little shops, bars and supermarkets.

There is a card entry to enter the building and another on the apartment door. All 3 of our cards could gain entry to the building but only 1 could open our door. We tried setting up our phones using the app and at first you can only have 1 phone setup. After calling them they advised to request any additional phone numbers on the Whatsapp chat that the main person had received. We did this and all 3 phones were working 30mins later meaning we didnt need the key cards.

The Apartment was very clean. Downstairs is a single bedroom and a bathroom with shower. It has an outside bit which also has a washing machine and cleaning storage. The sofa is a double sofa bed but would be very tight space to get it out. The kitchen has all things required to cook and make coffee.

Upstairs is a single bedroom, another bathroom with shower and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and shower. There is another TV and double sofa bed but dont think there is space to get it out. The double bedroom had a little terrace bit.

I would definitely recommend this apartment. Its very close to the main key areas. 10mins walk to La Rambla and 5min walk to nearest...

I stayed at an apartment from this company in Barcelona and had a very serious incident: my personal belongings were stolen while I was out. The property refused to take any responsibility, claiming there were no signs of forced entry, and dismissed the situation without offering any kind of support or compensation.

There was no real investigation into the possibility of unauthorized internal access or duplicate keys. Their only response was to blame me for not using the safe, which, frankly, does not excuse the failure in their basic duty to provide a secure place to stay.

Extremely disappointing experience. I do not recommend this property.

Someone internally knew the access codes to all apartments because I was not the only one in the building which is owned by Ola Living to have had a forced entry.

Tuve una experiencia muy negativa con esta empresa. Mientras yo no estaba, me robaron pertenencias personales del apartamento. El establecimiento se negó a asumir cualquier tipo de responsabilidad, alegando que no había señales de entrada forzada y sin brindar apoyo ni compensación alguna.

No investigaron si pudo haber habido acceso interno no autorizado o si alguien tenía una copia de las llaves. Lo cual es lo mas obvio porque hay camaras por todos lados y entraron a mas de un apartamento del edificio (donde Ola Living es dueño). Solo se limitaron a culparme por no usar la caja fuerte, lo cual no justifica la falta de seguridad básica que cualquier alojamiento debería garantizar.

Una experiencia realmente decepcionante. No recomiendo este lugar...

Stayed 2 nights, on second night apartment flooded from burst pipe. No help from owners, no plumper until 7 hours after the pipe burst. Cloths destroyed from water damage. Had to wear the cloths wet the next day. Complaint made to renter's with not even a reply. No compensation offered. You pay a good price for terrible service, do not stay at this apartment. Avoid at all costs. Stilling awaiting reply from renters....
