Where to begin…
Firstly, the set menu for 12 euros catches your eyes as a pretty good option for three courses, however it sadly lacked any form of effort or flavour. After my disappointing experience at this restaurant I looked up the reviews here to see if other people had had similar experiences. The experiences that I found similar to mine were met with the same arrogant response from the owner who seems to accuse everyone of having a bad day as an excuse for his below average food. Upon careful reflection I would suggest that the owner and his rude staff are the ones having the so called “bad days”.
Our experience began with a rude waitress (I cannot blame her as working at this establishment must not be great fun). We got served a chicken salad that was smothered in an overpowering pathetic attempt at honey mustard (if that). Padrón peppers were nice at least (grilling them isn’t too hard I don’t think). Our second course was supposed be a nice pasta with chicken and mushrooms. Unfortunately what we received can only be described as a bland watery/congealed mixture of pasta. I think you are supposed to drain the water after you boil the pasta however I am not the expert. Again the nestea was nice.
To conclude, I believe that if the owner insists on inflicting this cuisine on his customers he might at least be honest with himself and come to terms with the harsh reality of his mediocrity. If this is what he considers good food I would like to question his credentials and perhaps suggest he try his own food before patronising others. This is just my humble opinion and will surely be met with the same type of response as before but at least I predicted it.
Put 1/5 because -1/5 wasn’t available. I recommend you go anywhere but here. I patiently await...
Read moreIf I could give this 0/5 I would…. We had just finished dinner at a nearby restaurant and thought we’d pop in for a night cap before heading home. Well, as we tried to enter the doors we had to excuse ourselves past a group of people literally doing a drug deal in the entry doorway. We then proceeded to take a seat at the bar and wait for one of the bartenders to take our order - totally normal and not a problem. After 10 minutes of waiting and watching the bartenders in front of us literally not acknowledge our existence or make eye contact while she restocked the fridge and pretended we weren’t there, I took the opportunity to ask the female bartender for a drink list (as she was facing my direction) to which she yelled back at me in an extremely hostile way to “just wait a minute”. Not an amazing first interaction but I thought all good, she’s probably been busy and perhaps didn’t mean to be so curt. After another 10 minutes of waiting and her continuing to pretend to we weren’t there, she stood in front of my husband and just stared at him without saying a word. He stared back waiting for her to I don’t know, greet us and just say even hola and after an awkward 30 seconds she finally said “hola” so aggressively it was like we’d just kicked her kitten. We immediately stood up and left the venue because honestly, I’m not putting my money into a restaurant that can’t even display some common courtesy and as we left she audibly laughed and tried to make light of it with another customer who awkwardly stood there after witnessing the whole encounter. I genuinely can’t understand how this woman is employed when she behaves like a 3 year old who can’t regulate their own emotions rather than a 30 year...
Read moreI went with a friend to this restaurant. She ate spaghetti aglio olio and I ordered some tapas. The first impression was fine, the restaurant was quite well booked therefore we had to wait a bit till we got our drinks etc. When we got our food I realized (more to the end) that my gratinated goat cheese I ordered had a black hair stuck on the side, seems like it was grilled together with the cheese. To mention here is also that me and my friend have light brown\ brown hair (on our face and our head :) ). Can happen but we were already done with our food at least 40 minutes and no waiter in sight. When I our waitress came and I told her my founding she took my plate without any comment and walked to the kitchen. Once she came back she just told me that she ordered a new plate for me. Since we were already done and my hunger also left I told her I don‘t want a new plate. She seemed quite unhappy and then told us something quite undefinable and walked away. As a customer I felt very uncomfortable with her reaction, sometimes a quick apology from the kitchen and a smile can fix a bad vibe. When we ordered the bill we waited another 20 minutes, she took the goat cheese from the bill which we appreciated of course. The restaurant is nice but I you‘re looking for good hospitality this might be the...
