Hostel Inn Colombo 7 — Hotel in Colombo

Situated in what is probably one of the nicest parts of Colombo, Hostel Inn is a fabulous option for a base in the city. Situated less than two kilometres from the Galle Face and Fort railway station, it's easy to find and well connected to public transport. The surroundings are upmarket with the Vihara Mahadevi park a five minute walk and the Liberty plaza ten minutes. Banks, ATMs, restaurants both pricey and cheap - are all within a kilometre. The interiors are comfortable enough and very clean, the six-bunk room I stayed in was not designed for a great deal of privacy but that is not expected in a hostel in any case. Wifi was present throughout and the bathrooms spacious and clean. There is a small kitchen which works nicely for the included breakfast. The supervisors - Sadath and Tushad were both extremely accommodating, helpful and courteous and went out of their way to make my journey smooth with plenty of inputs on my itinerary and that in itself contributed a lot towards making my entry and departure from Sri Lanka memorable. Well simply superb . been there for four days, easy access to most of the important place like eateries, library, museum, beautiful park, immigration, embassies etc.. you name it , they are in center of important places.||||Very clean hostel, super fast WI -FI facility ,excellent AC, super clean wash rooms, and a good simple break fast.. mind you all these for as little as 11 USD...||||i Checked out lot of other hostels and those are really over priced.||||For me the difference in a hostel is the staff. and it its the difference in this hostel ,,||Actually there are two guys manning the place, layard and sadat.. Even though it is not the cheapest hostel in Colombo, it's definitely a good one. I was staying there for three nights, being somewhat sick, but the place itself was good for the money. Breakfast was a rather small, compared to the Srilankan usual superload, but it get's you where you need to be. Hostel was not full at the time I was there, so I cannot comment how it looks in full traffic, but during my stay everything was clean. Please, note that it does not have hot water (although they are not saying they do). Also, a small problem is that the hostel is not on the intersection of huge streets, so crossing them might take you a few extra minutes. It is a good budget place to stay in...
