The Grill by Doctor’s Kitchen — Restaurant in Colombo

If you are checking for a place to have good / nicely cooked meat items, well this is the best place. We went there with a recommendation of a good friend and that’s the best recommendation so far!🙈 We did dine in over there and the ambiance was so good! And the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were really quick in taking orders and serving. On the day we went I was suffering from a migraine, and the person who was there (I guess the owner) was so kind enough to offer me a herbal tea even! 😇 Food was nicely marinated and well cooked no complaints that was so yummy, the sandwich I ordered was filled with stuff and it was so worth for the price. Food was nicely presented and it was so clean and neat! Then the other day we made a pickup, one thing I hate always is no matter how the food is good most places do not server the exact same way as dine in when it comes to a pickup, but this place the take away was exact same as the dine in. They were nicely wrapped, properly packed so neat and clean. Also they gave us a small sanitizer bottle along with the package, which was a very good initiative! One tip for everyone who willing to go there, on weekends make a prior reservation 🙈, thank me later😉 Give them a buzz go...

I don't think this place even deserves 1 star. The positive reviews are all from wannabe "local influencers", which makes its veracity very questionable! We had the lamb chops that are supposed to be 500gr of lamb chops, but there was about 100gr of meat and 200gr of bone. The sauce was alright, but the meat was AWFUL and EXTREMELY CHEWY. It came with:

salad (3 tiny pieces of tomatoes, cucumber and 1 leaf of lettuce) 2 spoons of mash (that was just boiled potatoes and water - no sign of milk or butter) 3 slices of garlic bread (they took 1 slice of a bad sliced bread added some garlic margarine and grilled it)

The place was dead, full of ants everywhere! The food took 40min to come and just to add the final touch: I found a hair in the food.

This cost: 9800.00 = 25 pounds!!! The most expensive and the worst meal we had in...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at [the grill by the doctors kitchen ], and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The food was delicious, with perfectly grilled meats and flavorful sides that left me wanting more. The brisket was tender and juicy, and the smoky ribs were some of the best I’ve ever had.

What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional staff. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly service. The team went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, checking in regularly without being intrusive. It’s rare to find such a genuine level of hospitality, and it made the meal even more enjoyable.
