I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lot and Found Colombo Hostel and Cafe, and I must say, my experience was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the pristine cleanliness of the establishment. The attention to detail in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment was evident throughout my stay.

I booked a large double-bed Hotel room from the call, but also they have online bookings. Anyway, the quality of the room was superb; the bed was comfortable, soft, and larger than I expected. Also, the room was larger than I expected. Safety place for everyone and especially for couples. They have a privet bathroom for one room (i was booked it that day), and other rooms have shared bathrooms. The Bathroom is smaller than I expected, but the quality was impressive; it also has a hot and cold water shower, two towels, and liquid soaps.

Customer service was very friendly and kind. We went hotel before the one hour, but they gave us our room and keys before our time started.

They got our ID cards and a photocopy of them (after getting a photocopy of them, they gave it back to us), and They also got my mobile number, address and signature before the room was given to us.

here are the only three problems I faced, they don’t have a private parking space. So, we have to park our vehicle on the road near the hotel entrance. they haven’t hairdryers in the room, like some other hotels. I encountered some difficulty locating the place. The lack of clear directions or signage made it challenging to find.

But never mind those problems because other good things are more impressive than expected. Also, the price is not cheap or expensive; it is reasonable for this...

This is a nice place to dine in as well as for a stay. I have been staying here for two days and the main plus was the host/the manager. I had a very late check in and the following day I had to get some work done. Indika Anura was helpful in all the possible ways to make sure that I have a good time there.

The dorms: Normal price of a dorm bed at colombo is 2000 LKR (10-11$) at the time according to my experience whereas this place is 2600 LKR (13-14$) but trust me that this place is worth it. Comfortable beds, personal locker, towel along with all the necessities are in place. Best dorm experience I have got around Colombo so far. Washroom is clean and well maintained. Also the showers are spacious enough.

The kitchen and dining place: Limited menu but the chef Pathum was kind enough to suggest what’s good to try from their menu. Dining area is a nice outdoor place but with a roof. Food wasn’t the best I have tried but it was good and decent enough. So a good place to hangout/catch up as well.

Overall a perfect stay.

Tips: Call and inform the manager in advance before hopping down there with the time. Carrying your own toiletries would hell to maintain your personal hygiene. If the air conditioning is too cool make sure to adjust it before you fall asleep as you don’t want to wake...
