I stayed with my family here for a couple of days in May 2025 for my mother's birthday and it was, hands down, one of the best holiday experiences we've had. It was our first time in Galle and this villa hotel was recommended to us by a friend - and we had no idea what to expect on arrival. By the end of our stay though, what we wouldn't have given to have a little more time here! The place itself, first up, is very beautiful and extremely intimate. A true private island of peace, right in the middle of a quaint and lovely town, with exquisite interiors and large, super-comfortable rooms (and yes, the washrooms are immaculate as well.) There are four rooms in the villa, all told, and we were the only ones staying at the property during our time there. The food, made each day to order by chefs Nalin and Nimesh, was fantastic and the service overall was impeccable. The Manager, Tbilina and his team - Mohan, Dinesh, Amila, Imalka and Mendis -spared no effort to make us feel like the place was our home. (Sidenote: they have little bells all over the hotel that you can ring and a staff member will appear immediately as if by magic; very cool!) The hospitality showered on us was amazing and the hotel went out of their way to make our celebrations special. Bonus points for the fact that the sea and all the historic sites are a short walk away and some really cool cafes, shops, restaurants and bars surround the hotel. All in all, I could not recommend this place more strongly to anyone looking for a quiet, chilled-out holiday. The amenities are top-notch, the location unmatched and the staff super friendly and efficient. We, most definitely, cannot wait...
Read moreWe had 2 nights here as part of a touring holiday, this was a change from our original hotel and clearly an upgrade. Name is currently 'Landesi by Nyne'.||The hotel has just 4 well appointed rooms in a old 'manor house' in the centre of the old Fort area of Galle, lots of character and a beautiful room.||We dined out both nights but breakfasts, served on the ground floor terrace, overlooking the small courtyard garden, were lovely (we had the Sri Lankan option, great curries and hoppers). Service was generally good, if possibly a bit too overbearing but there were issues. ||Firstly, the room safe was locked shut when we arrived and weren't able to access it until the night manager arrived as he had the master key, it wasn't on site. Secondly, on breakfast on our final morning, service struggled to provide for just 6 guests at the same time and we had to leave without having the second cups of tea/coffee we'd requested. ||Small points, maybe, but for a hotel of this quality and price those are issues which shouldn't arise and we've downgraded what should have been a 5 star rating...
Read moreI recently stayed at this beautiful villa hotel in Sri Lanka, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Their hospitality was outstanding—always smiling, attentive, and ready to assist with anything I needed. Hiran and his team were ready for any request and always trying to help.
The atmosphere here is simply perfect—serene, luxurious, and surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Whether enjoying the lush gardens, or taking in the breathtaking views, every moment felt like paradise.
The villa itself was immaculate—spotlessly clean, well-organized, and beautifully designed. The attention to detail in the housekeeping and maintenance was impressive, making my stay extremely comfortable.
