We booked this place to check around 4:30 am in the morning for 4 nights which was already intimated to the guest house in advance via a booking message. But at the time of arrival, no staff was available to check us in, the phone number didn't work and they were not reachable on WhatsApp either. Therefore we waited approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour with a sleepy 5 year old kid and as we saw no sign of the staff showing up, we went to another hotel to crash. We checked-in that afternoon so we didn't stay that one night but they didn't refund as we were instructed to raise a ticket to booking.com and explain all that we went through and if they find it legit then we will be refunded etc. etc. so we decided not take that trouble hence no reimbursement. This was our only bad experience as we were with a kid who was tired and sleepy after a long journey.
But after the check in, we were very happy with everything, including decent cleanliness and responsive staff (they said they've changed a new number), giant beds, convenient location, and laundry service.
There was no sign board or maybe it was there but not visible so we had to search for a building that looked alike on the...
Read moreThis is my go-to spot for when I want to visit Bangkok on the weekends. The price is reasonable, and the facilities are nice and clean. They provide both body wash and shampoo, which I appreciate. However, there are no water bottles provided, so be sure to buy some for yourself. I love the soft, spacious bed— which can be hard to find in Thailand.
Another thing that's hard to find is the entrance to the building. I arrived very early in the morning, and I thought to myself, "There's no way the hotel entrance is down this tiny, spooky alley." In fact, it is. I think adding some big signage that can easily be read at any time of day might help tired travelers like myself check in more easily.
Overall, I can't complain. The staff have been nothing but accommodating and kind, particularly when it comes to me extending my visits or checking in at the wee hours of morning. Tommy and Ken are the people I think I've communicated with most...
Read moreAfter coming to Kaosan area for maybe 15 times I discovered this place. It's on the Rambuttri Rd where the entrance to the monastery is. I was so pleasantly surprised, clean room, very, very comfortable bed, toilet and shower in separate rooms in your room and such lovely staff. Sunny and Lucas, both from Myanmar are so lovely and made my stay absolutely happy. The walls are of course quite thin but if anyone is too noisy the staff will take care of them. Also, it's a quiet area of Kaosan area but everything is within a few metres. And I paid less than 10 euro, 380 Baht to be exact but it's low season. All on all, and absolute gem, thanks to the lovely staff who should definitely get a pay rise. The only thing that was not 100% was the towels, which look nice but are basically plastic sheets. But if that's the only problem I'm happy to...
