Review for Alley Cat Resto Bar
Alley Cat Resto Bar is one of those places that feels like a true find. Tucked away in the heart of Bangkok, it strikes the perfect balance between great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service. Whether you’re looking for authentic Thai dishes or something a little different, this spot delivers.
The Pad Thai was hands down one of the best I’ve had—flavors perfectly balanced, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The nachos were another standout, with generous portions and a great mix of toppings. It’s also worth mentioning how inclusive the menu is, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options that don’t feel like an afterthought.
The atmosphere here really sets it apart. There’s live music on some nights, which adds to the charm without being overwhelming. It’s the kind of place where you can relax and let the hours slip by, whether you’re with friends or on your own. The staff were attentive and genuinely friendly, even during busy times.
The drink selection is another highlight, with a good mix of local beers and cocktails at reasonable prices. Everything about this place feels thoughtful and well put together.
If you’re in Bangkok and want something that feels both laid-back and special, I’d highly recommend Alley Cat Resto Bar. It’s a place I’ll definitely return to next time I’m in the...

Wonderful, super friendly owners Dash & Nancy and their staff made me feel welcome at all times. There is a great menu of delicious local Thai dishes alongside American and Mexican bar classics, around the clock English Premier League on TV, live music on the weekends and the cheapest, coldest Chang beers in town. Not to mention some great and colourful regulars who pass through.
A super chill place that I can't wait to return to. Greatest little bar in all of Bangkok with folks who I call friends....
Read moreI've been to the Alley Cat Resto Bar twice this week. It's at the quieter end of Ram Buttri Alley. It appears to be quite new as everything is clean and crisp in appearance. I particularly like the stark black and red decor. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and very keen to please the customers. The little thing that cements this bar in my favourites is that they give beer coasters to stand your beer glass and bottle on; because I personally hate the condensation pools on the table and that then drip on me when I take a drink. The music playing is at a reasonable volume to still hold a conversation and a great selection of...
