Baan Lanna At Prasingh — Hotel in Chiang Mai Province

We, my friend and I, stayed at the Lanna Guest House for 4-5 days this last August. Our room was modest, but clean and very cosy :) True value for the low price we paid. The location was truly great: in the middle of Chiang Mai, close to all the stores and temples and moreover in the exact same street where the Sunday Market takes place. However the highlight of our were the personnel and the boss of the guesthouse. They were very hospitable and very helpful in everything we needed! They (i.e. the owner and her lovely daughter) were so kind that they invited us to a local restaurant (where mainly Thai people go to) and treated us on a typical Thai dish. This all because they wanted to cheers us up after we had a bad experience at a nearby massage salon, where we got a pedicure. (Tip: do not get a pedicure/manicure at a massage place! They have no clue about nails!!.) In conclusion: Lanna Guest House is a great affordable place to stay and very very recommended by us. We felt that there we experienced TRUE THAI HOSPITALITY!! P.S. We see people in the comments complaining about the fact that the shower and and the toilet are in located in the same room, but that is very normal thailand! We are not sure but we believe that thai people see it an extra time that the toilet can be "washed". The Thai are very keen on hygiene. Kind regards, Mona...

FRAUDALENT!!! Booked on Agoda, pay at the property option, "Deluxe Double Room", with AC and fridge as advertised on the website. Upon arrival, I found out that "Deluxe Double Room" is a tiny room with fan only, they wanted me to pay extra 130 Baht to get AC room! Scammed right away. I shown the lady in the reception my booking details showing AC in the room features, but no, she insist I must pay more to get AC room. So I paid, got into the room finally, equally small as previous one, nowhere to put our belongings to it was so small. Bedding was soiled and had stains from previous use, but we thought we may accept it, as we already paid, already in the room.. But a minute later I find out that bed is infested with BED BUGS!!! Little things were crawling on the bedding, I took picture and video to show the owner! We came back to reception, cancelled out stay completely and got cash back right away, owner in the reception knows of this issue because she agreed without hesitation to cancel our stay!! AVOID this place...

I was glad that me and my partner found this place. I loved the bed, it was clean and comfy, nice pillows also. I think it was a cute small room - no window though - which is a bit concerning when it comes to safety. Bathroom was okay - only thing that didn’t work was the shower head, so we had to take that off in order to shower. Prepare to pay 500baht as a deposit when checking in. It’s a very good accommodation if you don’t plan to stay in the room all day. I would come back here another time now that I know the place and the area. After we checked out we had lunch down at the restaurant. MUST TRY. We both had a Khao Soi which was very delicious and we can only recommend eating here. Food came super quick. It’s also m a cozy area to hang out...
