I don't usually rate places, but i feel like this has to be said. I came to the restaurant wanting to experience a good local cuisine. I was so excited to try the real Tom Yum soup and i only have 2 days left in Thailand.
When i was there, they had a promo. Free Thai Milk Tea for a good review. So i did it, but had to take it down for my morale. It did not feel honest. And i dont want the review of the place to misguide other visitors to spend a lot of money on something below mediocre.
The Food: Tom Yum soup was not sour and spicy enough. My mom who didnt like spicy food ended up enjoying it, so you can imagine its flavor.
Mango Sticky Rice did not have the best mango. We got small ones. One Nimman's food court offer better ones.
-Tom Kha , coconut chicken curry, was very bland. It felt like merky dipping water.
The Service: Though people are nice. They are not attentive. The reviews trapped tourists to flood in and they cannot keep up. They forgot my dad's drink order that we had to redo it. And they did not attend to us, in that i had to clear our own dishes into the cleaning tray on the floor.
The Price: Like i said, over 1000 THB for below mediocre is not worth the experience. Frankly, it demotivated me so much that i wanted to go back to my hotel and sleep to forget about the disappointment. But thankfully the surrounding temples managed to distract and lifted me up.
Please do better. If your experience was good you wouldnt have needed customers to fake some reviews to lure others in. Match your food and service to the atmosphere at...
Read moreBaan Lanna Thai Cuisine: Great Food, Hostile Hospitality If you’re looking for delicious Thai food served with a side of attitude, Baan Lanna Thai Cuisine is the place for you. Let’s start with the good: the food was flavorful, well-prepared, and definitely worth coming back for—if only the experience of dining here didn’t feel like an obstacle course of poor service and outright rudeness. Our party of 11 (yes, a large group, but not exactly an army) was met with resistance the moment we walked in. The owner flat-out refused to accommodate us at a larger table because it was “easier for her.” Ah yes, the golden rule of hospitality: always prioritize what’s most convenient for the staff, not the paying customers. She was short, impatient, and seemed genuinely annoyed by our existence. To add to the chaos, our food came out at completely different times, meaning some of us were finishing while others were still waiting. Oh, and one dish never arrived at all—because what’s a memorable dining experience without a little scavenger hunt for your missing meal? Bottom line: if you can tolerate a little verbal sparring with the owner and don’t mind playing the “when will my food arrive?” game, the food itself is worth it. Just don’t expect warm hospitality—unless you’re referring to the temperature of your curry.

Read moreI came here because of the reviews and I'm not sure if I came on the worst day of the week (Saturday) or the worst time of the day (Around 7pm).
Gotta be honest, I've tried much more tasty and cheap food at the markets.
My Khao Soi with Chicken got to my table really cold, barely warm so I had to return it for re-heat. And its flavor was nothing really great.
Regarding the chicken with Cashews, there was like only 20grs of chicken (probably less) in the whole plate, most of it was peppers and onions and it was too greasy (I wasn't expecting anything low fat thought).
Finally, mango smoothie had a bit acid touch which I really didn't enjoy.
I came in really hungry but went out very disappointed. Sadly, I won't be coming back...
Staff was really...
