Stayed 20 nights over christmas and new year at this new hotel in Kampangdin Soi 1. The hotel is very new, and the rooms are modern and clean. There is free minibar service that includes 2 bottles of soda (1 coke and 1 Fanta), orange juice and some snacks. This is filled up again during room cleaning. ||||The beds are some of the best I have had the pleasure of sleeping in. They are firm, but not in the usual thai style. The aircon worked well in both the rooms I stayed in.||||There was some issue with the water lock (or missing water lock) in my second room, and the hallway is quite noisy. The noise is due to no rubber insulation around the doors, and this would have helped keep the noise down from others closing their doors. Due to this I will give 4 out of 5 to this hotel. ||||I was first put on 4th floor, where there were some sound from the waterpump on the roof. When mentioned to the staff they moved me with no hassle down to 3rd floor where it was more quiet.||||Around New Year some young thai teenagers moved in to the room directly above me and where somewhat noisy. When mentioning this to the staff they promptly moved the teenagers down to first floor. ||||I especially want to thank the staff who were friendly and went beyond expectation. At New Year they also hand delivered personalized postcards and cookies wishing me a Happy new year. ||||||I would recommend this hotel...

Read moreMost comfortable hotel I've stayed in in Thailand.
Attentive, friendly, helpful, and responsive staff - spoke and understood perfect English, readily offered me a ride to the bus terminal when I was running late and saved me from missing my transport.
Room was well-equipped with mini fridge, functional air-conditioning, strong water pressure in the shower with hot water, large flasks of drinking water, free tea and snacks, large and clean towels and face towels, shampoo, soap, conditioner, hand wash. Really, they have it all! Furthermore, the design of the room was well done and aesthetically pleasing. Felt like a lot of thought and care went into the design and stocking of amenities. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily. Everything smelled clean and fresh and welcoming.
They even have a nice little garden and sitting area in the back on the ground floor, plus super affordable laundry rates (within 24hrs, rates similar to laundry around the corner), and a mini fitness gym area on the 4th floor.
Best part of the hotel is definitely the staff. Made you feel cared for and welcome in their place.
Location was also ideal. Close to the old city on the east gate, super close to lots of markets around the area including the local fresh markets and shopping markets. Close proximity to the bus terminal too.
I will come back every time.
Thank...
