I am so glad my ordeal is over! ||||It’s hardly any hotels I have been to through my life. Breakfast is severed at the expense of all the noise I had to endure from 6am!!!!! Opening of the doors, happy staffs greeting each other, moving of all the food into the dirty common sink area, setting up, ALL can be hear from my room. ||||The room has wonderful, great, innovative layout which means completely nothing to me, given the lack of rest so needed and expected of a hotel. Nothing essential was provided! Except lots of shower caps!||||The bathmat on the tile slides so be careful when one steps out of the room. ||||The breakfast is needless to say, you have to wash your bowls and others’ if they left food bits after eating. ||||I would pay more any time for a better place with good sound proffed rooms, services and amenities— no toothbrush, no conditioner, no kettle, nothing but an interesting room layout! ||||By the way the hotel is beside the road so every motorcycle that zoom past, I count them through the night. Oh then again the hotel has a fantastic room layout!||||This was my worst stay ever in Chiangmai and in my life! And I can’t be bothered to feedback to the hotel itself, because this is such a clever biz model. Totally love it’s profits driven concept, the owner is very intelligent! This is the only thing I give thumbs up to the hotel. ||||There’s only a security guard from 12-6am! No receptionist even! Perfect biz model! I didn’t bother to take any photos and was waiting for every min to pass to move on! Thank you arch 39 for turning a holiday...

We stayed 4 nights at Arch39 Art & Craft Hotel and it was love at first sight! The place is just like the photos: beautiful, clean, with a minimalist and very good taste wood decoration. It's located on a good region in Chiang Mai, close to the Old Town and walking distance to several restaurants. The wifi works great. They offer a mini breakfast for free at the communal kitchen with toasts, butter, jam, tea and coffee. Plus, you can buy your own food, keep it on the fridge and heat it up on the microwave. It's simple and of a great help for those on a budget. The dormitory room is very good, it was the first time we stayed at a dorm with double beds! We liked it and the beds are arranged in a way you get to keep your privacy. The shared bathroom was always clean and the shower works great. Also, the staff is super friendly, they helped us out with some tips on the best and cheapest way for us to go to Doi Suthep by ourselves, and they welcome the guests with a delicious coconut ice cream. We have nothing left to say, the place is awesome, and we truly recommend it for those...

Pro: Includes bfast consisting of toasts, butter, jelly, coffee, and tea. Has unlimited random munchies such as cookies and cheese biscuits for late night cravings. Beds are comfy, shared toilets are well-maintained, the entire place is cozy with good lighting and chic interior design. Location is relatively near the walled city (500 m), food spots, and the weekend night market in Walking Street (2 km). Receptionists are nice but...(check CON) Con: Receptionists told us there was no Grab in the city when in fact there is. When we asked for a cab, they charged us triple the price that we found in grab. Overall: Great place ! Big bang for buck. Just look for transpo services outside the hotel :D

I am writing now while I am still staying here (room on the 4th floor) lets do this by ranking from very bad to bad 1. No breakfast?! I was standing like nothing for 15 min. Only messed table of those breads? The oven keep running and heating so I have to turn it off myself before it is going to explode! I called to the hotel but no one cares! 2. No lift (1 night with light pack is ok) 3. Room on the 4th floor located on the same area as the staff room and restuarant (more like table areas) which is very noisy!

Ambience: clean, room (family room, Ensuite bathroom) quite small. Common area is a nice lounge area for people to mingle and meet new friends. Food: free breakfast provided is very minimal. Service: staff is v friendly. Daily housekeeping services are good. Cost/value for money: it’s decently priced. Wouldn’t recommend this place for tall people as I felt like I was in gnome-ville. (They do offer a cute cat if you book Long enough though haha)
