This is definitely the best place to stay in Chiang Mai, Yoyo and Pik are the most amazing hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed for 3 nights and they are so accommodating this place could be a 5 star. Yoyo made us a typical Thai breakfast which is seriously the best food we have had yet in Thailand. Everyday we were offered plenty of snacks, breakfast, coffee, noodles, freshly baked banana bread cupcakes.... it was like staying with my mum and dad but better and all included in the price. The rooms are large and very very clean, big fridge which is stocked with plenty of water, pop and fruit is also available whenever you want it. Big tv with a great entertainment system. Pik also got us some great recommendations on what to do elsewhere in Thailand. Really nice shower with a waterfall shower head and a separate removable one, hairdryers and air con in the rooms too. On our last day we left our bags all day and when we came back to collect them we sat in the lounge area drinking coffee and chatting to Pik for ages, really great place to stay and they haven’t been open long which is the only reason they don’t have more reviews! Don’t bother looking elsewhere, it won’t be as...
Read moreMiss Pik welcomed us to the guesthouse with a very good English. She can speak and interact well, too. The guesthouse is away from the main road where Wat Phra Sing is and it may be difficult for private driver guides to find, but no problem with Grab drivers at all (yes, Waze is useful in this country). The building is no more than 4 storey high and there is no lift. Fully equipped shared kitchen, and plenty of food and snacks available all day totally free. So, whenever you are hungry at any time of day, rest assured your stomach is well taken care of. The price is a bit higher than any other guesthouse you can find but then for the service, it's worth it. We got the quadruple room, and we were smitten by the elephant shaped towels sitting on our beds with more elephant pillows too. Overall, we were very impressed and such a shame, we just stayed for one night. Do stay here if you are looking to go to the Sunday Walking Street. The guesthouse is located on the other end part of the 1km night market as opposed to Tha...
Read moreYou'll feel right at home from the moment you step through the front door. Pik is literally the best! Her service and hospitality cannot be beaten. Responsible for most of the duties at the guesthouse, she does an amazing job. Each morning, she will greet you with home cooked Thai breakfast, with snacks and drinks available at your disposal at any given time of the day. She will provide recommendations and is always available to ensure that your stay is as pleasant as possible. The guesthouse itself is spotless and the rooms were large and comfortable. We visited during the Loy Kratong festival and Pik was sweet enough to make kratongs for each of her guests so that they can float them down the river to celebrate. I cannot say enough good things about Punsuk and if you can manage to snag one of the 4 rooms for an upcoming visit, you absolutely...
