Very conveniently located! 7-Eleven, markets, tourist companies (for buying your tours), restaurants, Thai massage and literally everything else you can think of is very close. The room: we stayed in the Deluxe King room. There’s a twin option as well. Beautiful design! The room is spacious (48m2) and the bed was VERY comfortable. With convertible sofa bed, the suite is ideal for family with young children, or couples like us. (: You will find best-in-class in-room furnishing, amenities, facilities, and personalized service. There’s a relaxing area with couch, minibar, working desk (which we always use a lot), coffee machine, and the huge TV made a difference! In brief, the room was immaculate, spacious and well equipped. Services: you can count on a great swimming pool, 24-hour pool-facing fitness center, wonderful spa, massage, restaurant, airport shuttle and many other services. The staff is beyond nice and the service is exceptional. Warm welcome! The restaurant (The Vorra Bistro) was excellent for breakfast and dinner, and they had a nightly happy hour with live music sometimes in the courtyard, which is so charming, by the way! The hotel is truly a ‘boutique’ hotel. It doesn’t offer you only a place to stay, but an amazing experience. We’d definitely come back...
Read moreI am not one to complain, but I had an unfortunate situation that was a severe security violation here. I had gone down for breakfast and had intentionally not taken our room key because my daughter had it and was still sleeping. When she didn’t come down for breakfast I asked the front desk for an extra key with my passport in hand. Instead, the staff at the other window (not the one I was speaking to) said “I can just let you in. What’s the room number again?” I said, “2308 - again” since I’d already told them the room number. So she proceeds to take me to my room to let me in. No big deal, right? Except she opens the room and lets me into room 2208, one floor below our room. It take me a while before I realize I am not in our room. My daughter is not there…there a black purse on the counter…someone is reading Catcher in the Rye. Suddenly I realize I am not in my room!! I can’t explain my embarrassment or humiliation at discovering that I’m violating someone else’s space. Luckily the occupants were not there, but can you imagine? I went to the desk and told them what had happened. They offered to let me into the correct room but I insisted on a duplicate key. It costs them nothing. If they had given me one like I’d asked in the first place, it never would have happened. So I won’t be staying here again. Compensation from the hotel = 0. Compensation from Trip (they were made aware) = 0. Very unsettling. But hey - I might get up to 60 trip coins...
Read moreWhile the hotel and the rooms look nice, we ended up having a not so nice experience here. Rooms only get cleaned in the late afternoons, which was not convenient for me with a toddler who naps later in the day. The bathroom has no outlet for a hair dryer, only for men's shavers. The outlet for the shaver doesn't work for the hair dryer. So I had to blow dry my hair without a mirror in the bedroom. Very inconvenient. But most importantly, my father woke up in the night to a gnawing sound from a mouse. In the morning, he found wood chips all along the floor. He told the staff, who came back to us later in the day to simply tell my father that they could not find a mouse. So he slept in that room one more night only to wake up from the gnawing sounds and wood chips on the floor again. When we informed them, they finally let him switch rooms. The entire time we were nice about it and didn't complain. But the staff did nothing to make up for this inconvenience, except change his room. At checkout staff Tran was very unfriendly and rude when we informed her that the experience with the mouse was unpleasant and that the price for the laundry was exorbitant, especially given the items came back with the stains still on them. We were given a 20% discount on the laundry after i conplained and offered to ahow the stains. We received no other compensation. She even charged my father for the juice packs he drank in the fridge. Just not a nice experience here....
