While this is obviously an aging hotel on the lower end of the budget for a hotel with a pool it does offer a lot of bang for the buck. My first stay here for 2 days. I booked when high demand for rooms and many hotels fully booked. Paid through Agoda and rate for two with breakfast and all taxes etc... was about $40 USD per night The room I booked was a Standard double and as you can see by my pictures the room itself was very large with a separate dining table area and sitting area with two chairs a loveseat and a desk. This is probably 2x the size of most rooms in bangkok for similar $$ Furniture and TV are dated but in working order. The bed was comfy and western style . AC was quiet and cold. Water in shower was hot. Towels and linens also a bit aged but just fine. (If you want Perfect and spotless in Thailand... pay for it..) Reception area is small but staff very friendly and helpful. and hotel sits on a side street between Soi 15 and Soi 19 so conveniet to everything you need but quiet enough to relax. Pool area is top floor outside and offers about 10 lounge chairs and sun umbrellas. Pool also shows age and could use some updating and repair to make nicer. Fitness area was surprisingly well stocked with various machines and free weights plus treadmills and stair machines. Nicely kept up and many machines appear new. Breakfast was standard and basic. Eggs, sausage, toast, juice, steamed rice, fresh fruit.... nothing to write home about but adequate and ok for price.
Only real Con other than the age of furnishings is that WiFi is not free and even front desk clerk says not really good. I had data package on phone so did not try it.
I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel for a budget traveller who wants a pool and close to Nana and Asoke BTS stations. Only reason not 5 stars for the money is the paid wifi and it needs some...
Read moreWe booked 2 hotel rooms here for my family in one room and my friends on another. We booked here for 5 days. I was really wanting to like this hotel bec of the area which is nearby lots of eateries, shops and etc. Needless to say, you get what you paid for. ||First, we had to ask to change rooms on our first arrival bec the first one they gave us was very dirty and rundown. The bathroom tub was disgusting with stains. The second one was much better but still really just not up to par. They had no more rooms to give us as we booked for the suite so we had no choice but to make do of what they gave us. |We used slippers when bathing so we won’t feel disgusted while we bathe. The bathroom tub was my biggest issue. It was old, lots of stains and looked dirty; feels dirty. The breakfast was doable. Same thing everyday - sausage, eggs, bread, juice. I mean, can’t complain since it’s cheap. You get what you paid for. Could be better? Definitely but again, you get what you paid for. The pool by the rooftop was okay; looks clean. My teens used it once. It looked like it was just newly renovated. ||There’s a Japanese restaurant few steps away from the hotel that serves really good Japanese dishes and there’s also laundry area just walking distance, which is a plus. We hired a private driver that toured us around Bangkok so we were mostly out most of the day which helps. This is not the kind of hotel for you to stay in and to relax the whole day as it is quite old and a bit rundown. It is definitely not aesthetically pleasing either. I’m sure there’s other hotels in Bangkok with similar rate that can offer so much better than this. Don’t let the pictures deceive you. Not even mine. Haha. |A one timer for us. ...
Read moreI and my family stayed at this hotel recently. We rented two rooms for three nights.
First I want to point out that the images that are representing this hotel must have been taken when this hotel was finished. Because the hotel does not resemble anything to what the photos are showing so beware.
We found generally the staff friendly but somewhat slow to respond to requests. We did not get our room cleaned until very late so if you want to rest in a freshly cleaned room then you might want to stay out most of the day and come back to rest.
The rooms can only be described as functional. Nothing more. Everything in the room is old ( or in some cases broken). So don’t expect anything fancy. The refrigerator seems not to have been cleaned in a while. TV is very old. Cabinets are run down in the brink of coming apart. AC unit sounds like a jet engine with no thermostat. Once you set it, it will run all the time.
Bathroom is very old and probably in need of an update. But hot water seems to be working very well.
Swimming pool is a joke. Cracks everywhere, the water is green and possible hazardous to swim in specially if you have kids. I have attached a picture and one from the neighboring facility.
Breakfast is very basic so don’t expect anything more than eggs, fruit, rice sausages and bread.
We needed a hotel close to the embassies and the international hospital. We were in a hurry and found this for a decent price. I have it a 1 Star(maybe 1.5) due to their free parking, functional room and friendly staff.
This place might work for a single person with little expectations. But not for...
