Price 5/5: RM190 via AGODA for superior king room, was upgraded to deluxe room, which was a giant room with everything. Guests who just entered could help themselves with water or blue pea flower juice. Porter was super fast.
Room 5/5: Comfortable, spacious, super clean, city view and most important good air conditioning in super hot Bangkok. Amenities: Toiletries, kettle, cups, spoons, complimentary water, tea, coffee, TV (mostly Thai channels), very comfy bed and sofa, writing desk and something unique - adaptor (UK/M'sia) type built in the wall next to the bed. Check in time 2 pm, check out 12 noon. Tiny lift available too.
-En suite shower: Good space for shower, toilet and sink, enough for a wheelchair. Sitting area at shower, so suitable for elderly people who lack mobility.
Service 5/5: All staff - counter, breakfast buffet incl. Mdm boss, Mr. Tong and porter were very conscientious about giving tip-top service, checking if everything was alright - that is something you don't get these days, even in 4-5 star hotels elsewhere.
Location 5/5: 7 minutes walk from BTS Asok - and on the way you can hop in and out 3 shopping malls (Robinson, Times square and the amazing Terminal 21 (and its super cheap food court Pier 21 5th floor). Not sure why it felt like a longer walk from MRT Sukhumvit (12 min) vs MRT Asok (7 min). But with access to both MRT and BTS, it is very convenient to move around vs expensive cabs/ traffic. Very happening at night and weekends with bars along the way.
Breakfast 4/5: Buffet style (western). (If Thai style - I'd have given 5/5) E.g. Cheese potato, roti with curry, congee, spaghetti, fried rice, roasted chicken, fried eggs sunny side up, yoghurt, bread, cereal, coffee, tea, milk, orange /bael juice, ham, brocolli fruits.
It was our last stop for this trip to Thaland and a great choice for resting in comfort. after an adventurous journey, we decided just to have a staycation in the hotel as it was sooo comfortable and grand. Well done, I hope the staff keep this...
Read moreAn ok stay for the price paid. The good stuff: room was spacious, service staff are friendly enough, room was sufficiently tidied, with water and toiletries replenished every time we got room service. Room had plenty of sockets and USB charging points so I didn’t have to worry about using adapters. Toilet and bed were clean. Plenty of eateries and shops nearby, like a 7/11 and a pharmacy. Asok BTS is also nearby, so overall the hotel is located in a very convenient spot.
The not so good stuff: terrible drain smell constantly coming from the toilet so we had to open the windows to ventilate it all the time; room was very sparsely furnished with necessities, plates and cutlery were not provided. We ordered take in on some days, and had nothing to eat with or on. Went down to reception to ask for help, only to be told that the kitchen was already closed, so they could not do anything about it. There was no safe for us to keep our valuables either. WIFI was slow too. Gave us only one bath robe, and no slippers.
On the day of our arrival, there was an electrical maintenance happening for 5 hours, but we were not informed beforehand. Power supply was completely cut off and we could not use the fridge, air con, or lift. It would have been good if there was an email to inform us so we could have altered our plans.
Overall would recommend for those looking for an affordable and convenient location, with basic comforts to return to at the end of the day, but expect...
Read moreI frequently travels to Bangkok for business purpose and have stayed few hotels for exploration purpose. I have to say Kingston suites is the best ever hotel i could conclude for many reasons... right from the awesome location situated at Sukhumvit 15 which is so strategic for many reasons like near to Terminal 21 mall, entertainment streets like soi cowboy and soi nana 4, easy to hunt for foods, plenty of massage parlours surrounded the hotel and even just metres away for BTS Asok station. Best of all, hotel provides shuttle service to Terminal 21 mall and the BTS station is just in front of the mall. Oh yeah, the price of the hotel is so freaking reasonable compare to any other hotels around sukhumvit. Talking bout hotel rooms, we stayed in Euro Suite which is amazingly 70sqm, which is as big as 1 room condo... so spacious and with their colonial setup building and rooms it looks like we are staying in a mini palace. Not to forget, the friendly staffs are so welcoming and the services they provide is mind-blowing. Special mention to the awesome staff Mr. Best (management should give him best employee award for his dedication) and assistant manager Somchai (another great mgmt guy) who took care of us so beautifully helped us to sort out our issues on bookings and so on. We felt so honoured. So we continue to keep staying here even while typing this review. Overall.... its the must stay and most reasonable hotel in Sukhumvit yet you will find it value...
