2nd visit: I had the Thai Basil beef with rice and it was just as good as the 1st visit. I also ordered the stir fried chicken with cashew nuts, it was different than what I had expected, in that it was "drier" but tasted really good. The chicken was lightly coated and fried with mellow spices. It was served with stir fried peppers and onion and cashew. I enjoyed it. I could eat it as a appetizer on a return visit. They're catering to a expat community and it's totally working. Great atmosphere, calm, piano mood music, moody lighting and comfortable seating and tables. Totally worked for me to escape the Bangkok chaos just steps from the door.
1st visit: I had the Chao Khon Lai Chai which was presented in a very visually pleasing manner. Followed by Tom Yum Goong, which was good but not great. My favourite was the Thai Basil with minced meat which the chef prepared with a lot of wok hei which made the dish really smoky. Served with steamed rice it was perfect.
"Fight", yup that's his name provided awesome service, and lots of great local tips. My thanks to him for his information.
Definitely worth giving this place a 2nd try for...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at the Marigal Restaurant for breakfast every day during my stay, and I must say that the experience was consistently exceptional. The restaurant offers a vast selection of Thai and international cuisine, catering to all tastes and preferences. I was impressed by the variety of dishes available, and the quality and freshness of the food was always top-notch.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is elegant, yet comfortable and clean, making it a great place to start the day. What truly made my experience stand out, however, was the outstanding service from the staff. Special thanks to Minnie, who always went out of her way to accommodate my special nutritional needs, and to Thong, who made every morning a little brighter with his friendly small talk.
Although I didn't get to try the lunch or dinner menus, I have no doubt that they are equally impressive. Overall, I highly recommend the Marigal Restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Bangkok. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and comfortable atmosphere makes it a must-visit destination...
Read moreI was happy as a whole. Clean and strategically located. The staff are courteous and everyone tried to not only listen but understand and help. But I was most impressed with their breakfast. The options are a lot to choose from very tasty meals Great cooks or chefs. Their food is world class for sure. Oh and their coffees 🤩🥰. They are very clean I must say again. Smells good in there too. There is one Minnie who checks one in. Very pleasant but firm and professional. There is another male staff in black attire who always smiled to put one at ease. The most delightful and pleasant of them all is a lady in black and white uniform by the name Aum, she is very observant, polite, patient. You know as guests it gets overwhelming in a land that you do not know the language and being nice to a person goes a long way. Thank you Aum, keep it up! I am thankful. Ta. Empty plate that’s how good it was every time...
