Nice new trendy restaurant with a mix of vegetarian and meat dishes. The restaurant has a nice chilled lounge vibe. Smells nice inside with lovely atmosphere and jazzy funky music. Service is good and prompt. The staff are VERY attentive which I love and even brought me some complimentary popcorn at the end of the meal( as if I can be so cheaply bought lol) Dino, Rodfolk, Arty were very keen to be in this evening. Thanks a lot for the good service!
Food: It’s a reasonably standard mix of western and some Thai and pan Asian fusion. It was a cool rainy evening so I ordered the tomato soup (with beetroot I think) and home made flat bread. Delicious, warm and hearty and hit the spot. For main a tofu dish with fried vegetables and jasmine rice. Dish was super spicy and lacked structure.
Menu card itself could do with an update as it didn’t match the look and feel of the restaurant. They definitely need a much better mezze platter or something more trendy in terms of the flavours and look and feel of the food. Would look good as a tapas bar perhaps.
On the whole a pleasant experience if you are passing by and want to chill in very pretty surroundings. Ps wine...
Read moreWe went for breakfast today and had to wait around 10 minutes before the waiters came over with cutlery and took our order. I noticed the manager saw us sitting there and asked the staff why we had nothing on the table, it seemed there were only 2 staff handling many customers, which might explain the slow service. We ordered two kinds of toast, but oddly there was no avocado toast on the menu (which I think is a must have these days). I got the vegan toast and my partner had the egg toast, both came topped with pea purée, which unfortunately made the bread soggy. Another small but annoying detail, the table was glass and there were no placemats under the plate, so the plate kept sliding around while we were trying to cut the bread. The food was average, but the coffee was excellent. I think it might be a nice spot for an evening chill, but I wouldn’t go back...
Read moreMy first stay at Public House Hotel in Bangkok was wonderful! The location is great, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive.
The breakfast was a highlight—though not a buffet, the menu offers delicious options. I especially loved the pancakes and lattes. A big shoutout to the breakfast team—Siri, Rod, Folk, and Mint—who were so warm and made sure every morning started perfectly.
The hotel lobby has a lovely bar where I enjoyed some evening drinks, adding to the relaxed vibe. My room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, making it easy to unwind after exploring the city.
Overall, Public House exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a stylish, welcoming hotel with excellent service, this is the place! I’d happily...
