Firstly, this is not all a child-friendly hotel. We had 2 kids, aged 6 and 2 when we stayed in this hotel in Jan 2019, and throughout our stay of a full week, we couldn’t literally rest for once without stressing about child safety and well-being. From the kitchen table, to the dining table, coffee table, tv cabinet, every edge and corner was pointing out like knife tips. On requesting for some temporary padding on them, Fha, the receptionist responded that they never had anyone raise this as an issue before, so, they can’t do something straightway. We explained the seriousness the matter and the fact that my 2 yr old has already hit her head twice on the kitchen table corner (showed the big swell to Fha too) and thus, kept on pushing the matter tile they agreed to address it later in the day.
Next, the glass balustrade of the balcony has enough gap at the floor level for any inquisitive baby to roll through and then have a fatal fall from the 4th floor. The same balustrade continued throughout the entire length of the balcony, despite the raised platform of the spa at one end of it. Thus, the balustrade becomes not even a metre high across the length of spa (meaning a calamity is in the jusr waiting to happen) before the hotel management takes this more seriously
The designer of the toilet needs to be questioned as to why he had the toilet bowl right next to the wall when there was ample space for it to be placed slightly to the right of it, leaving equal gao all darling within the space allocated. This forced us to sit transversally (rather uncomfortably) any time we needed to sit on it to attend to the nature's big call ! Also, the stopper in the basin can be locked easily but unlocking is impossible without you crawling under the basin to do it manually from there.
Worst Internet speed ever, especially in the modern era of 2019....The speed test showed 1.6 Mbps speed, if you are lucky as not only it is as slow as a snail, it also keeps dropping off every 5 mins. We were stuck in this mess for 168 hours without any fruitful outcome from the hotel to lift their game and allocate more speed/bandwidth to the guests., despite our repeated request, literally every day. Reception lobby, with not much users, works fine when the guests are starving for net upstairs.
Despite being 2 adult occupants of the room, we were given only 1 room keycard. When asked for a second one, the receptionist, got us to sign off a separate terms & conditions sheet before giving us the additional one. However, our annoyance was tested way lot more, when we reported that we have misplaced the 2nd key card (given that we had 2 playful kids of ours in the room), Fha, the receptionist, warned us of a potential 500 Baht fine, if it was not found and return before our check out. Luckily, we found it a couple of days later and avoided paying the weird fine, which was quite unheard off.
The lobby has a free internet facility for guests with access through 2 desktop public computers which I had to use at night (after a tiring day out in the sun) our rooms had no usable internet (speed & stability wise). While I was working on the internet late that night at the lobby, I found the air conditioning was switched off for the rest of the night despite them completely aware of me working at the desk. Even if it was a measure for them to save on their power bills, a temporary pedestal fan for the guest would have nice than leaving him to sweat helplessly in the 35 deg heat for the entire period of time he was there (when I shouldn’t have to be there, if my room internet was working in the first place).
If you are more than 160 cm in height, there is every chance of you hurting your head against the exhaust chimney while cooking as the kitchen table is way lower than the international standards.
No pool side change room. Do not book taxi from hotel. They charge double the price than what it really is. Do not miss out on putting the “clean my bed” tag on the bed/beds if you...

Besides having the most cheerful, friendly and helpful concierge upon arrival (Alek I believe his name was) everything was off!
A day before departing Sydney Australia our flights was canceled and re-routed due to engineering concerns.
After desperate countless attempts trying to call & email Absolute world and appointed consultant Indiana Dungal- no communications or help was received!
We literally had to travel into Phuket blind folded not knowing what to expect! Worsest nightmare especially considering this was our first visit to Thailand..
As expected, the countless email messages wasn't received so we paid THB$800 for a taxi to drive us roughly 45mins to the Absolute Bangla Suites in Patong..
Just before midnight we finally checked in, concierge Alek showed us to our room and left us for the night. At this time we are jetlagged and in need of some much needed good night rest especially considering our 1st day excursion commences the morning approaching (Elephant Sanctuary) between 6am-6:30am...
Upon my first entry: The hotel lobby looked nice and smelt fresh as mint however our room (103) smelt like mold dew, dust & dirt and the bed had dust mites which gave me severe skin Infections in the morning.
Considering this is meant to be one of the newest establishment in the area- I am really dissapointed and very unsatisfied with the suite itself.
Because my partner is asthmatic and have eczema while I myself is allergic to dust which leads to Hayfever- i covered the whole bed sheets & pillow with towels and actually had to go to sleep with our face covered with a shirt so it can filter air as we breath through the night..
After 4-5hrs sleep, when the morning approached, my skin was itched, red and flared up with hives. My partners exzma and asthma was playing up also and it did as we started our 1st excursion for the day..
Upon our return to the hotel- the suites itself didn't smell any different although the bed was fixed- the bed sheets weren't replaced as we could see the old creases from the bed sheet.
Because of this, we ended up purchasing another accommodation at a different place on this same day - extended our stay in Thailand and will remain at this 5star resort for the remaining of our trip.
Unless this situation is better improved- I will not recommend you and your hotel chain to any of my friends, families and business partners/networks from around the globe..
In fact, the accommodation itself should be promoted as a hostel instead and for this reason I am very disappointed & very dissatisfied with the accommodation itself and the service you provided me.
Word to all: this place is only good for 1 thing and that is the location: bang in the middle of party town. If your looking for something romantic, peaceful and fresh to stay- dont stay here.
Think of hostel- this is what you will get if you stay here...
My honest opinion!!
Best...
Read moreMy first time in Phuket, and I was privileged to stay at Absolute Bangla Suites. From the moment you arrive you receive a warm welcome and are invited into a lovely retreat.
The staff are tremendous and do everything they can to accommodate you and your needs. The rooms are beautiful and very well equipped. Great comfy beds and linen, well set up lounge and tv, kitchen in the apartment was also great (although we did not use it), and a great bathroom, good pressure shower, and our suite had a lovely spa bath.
Positioned perfectly just off Patong road, so we incredibly local to everything! Although so close to the night life the rooms are not too noisy and allow for peace and quite.
The private pool upstairs along side the bar and restaurant is great, and the food and drink served there is fantastic and great value for money too.
Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay, relax, have fun and experience Phuket. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to...
